• Re: Ham-Handed Marketing Exhibit #128

Thanks! For the sake of clarity: I found out that the spurgeon collection issue was not as bad as I thought since "The Complete Spurgeon Sermon Collection" is indeed complete. Sorry! The some=1 issue is still true in many other cases though. The Complete Spurgeon Sermon Collection (63 vols.)

While I do agree that OP used harder words than was warranted, I still think the presentation here is poor, and could be improved pretty easily. In general the left column presents the name of the resource and the right column presents " Value if sold separately ". The partially included collections does not fit this picture since the left column presents
Every single time a resource from a standard collection is found in a base package, it is listed by the collection. Most of the time, more than one of the resources from a specific collection are in the base package. Listing things from collections helps facilitate easy volume identification, make it easier to compare base packages

New night with the same behavior on the same set up. Tried going back and starting again twice, it started playing very quickly, played 5-15 seconds, then froze with no indication of what was going on (no spinning circle). It did not start at all despite being in the background unpaused for about an hour. Then tried Opera (v. 39). It worked pretty well

Thank you both for your replies. I'm using Windows 10 Pro 1511. Edge 25.10586. I've not had any problems apart from these two times and some hiccups with the live streams. In general I find the streaming quality to be very good. I will check with other browsers next time I use the site.
Both of these features are on our
That level of vigilance shouldn't, however, have to be a requirement in order to be able to make informed purchase decisions.
I totally agree. But I don't think it was this time. It was all pretty well explained at the webpage, and the changes to LN was publicized before it happened. That's all one could ask for i guess. One

Adding to the readings of the courses included in the base packages should be a given, hope this is coming soon. One question to the Faithlife team: What with courses that are in production. Will they include readings included in Platinum or have you decided to move away from this principle all together?
I think you know this, but for others who might come along: When upgrading, there is no reason to purchase "at the same level" other than you have decided that the said base package is the best fit for what resources you want & the price you can budget for. The phrase "staying at Silver" can be misleading because you will

  • Logos 7 launch: The best launch in some time?

The launch of Logos 7 has left me with much better feelings than previous launches. Here are some things I think Logos did better this time, I may mix some issues from the release of L5 and L6, and some of my impressions may be wrong. The launch of Cloud and Now since L6 has made things a lot more complex, and this may affect other peoples impression

  • Some isseus with Faithlife TV

I've been looking around for something like this for a while and it seems good so far. During a couple of days of using the service some issues have showed up however. Pausing and unpausing seems to make player skip a couple of seconds (using edge.) It has some hiccups (despite my, theoretical, 1GB line.) I am in Japan, so this may be a factor. Today

Another book: https://www.logos.com/partner/searchthebible There is some strangeness involved in this process. In the individual pages the price quoted for LN members is the same as for the library ONLY. However, like someone described above, if you click the add to cart button the feature set is added to the cart as well. If you remove the feature

This is some time back, but thank you all for your help in making the best decision. For future reference: From what I can see from what other people has written about their prices it turned out to be a cheaper to wait and then upgrade than going the steps would have been. Not very much, but enough to justify waiting late in a cycle or if you're not

  • Improve hyperlinking in notes.

The way Logos currently handles hyperlinking makes it quite timeconsuming to link elements in the notes to the books you are reading via the hyperlinkt (ctrl+K) function. There may be a number of ways to do this, but I suggest the following: When you press ctrl+K in notes you enter hyperlink mode. When you are in hyperlink mode what you write out, in

  • Note Indicators: "Use this style by default" in current note only.

With the addition of boxes etc. of different colors in notes our ability to instantly see where a Note comes from has gotten a lot easier. Personally I use different colors for Sermon prep. Sermon suggestions, journaling, Mobile ed. other readings. Because always changing the color is tedious I got very happy when i saw the "Use this style by default
They've done a few experimental ones, with at least some resources bundled, the most recent being: https://www.logos.com/summer-session
The certificates are tailored for gold (L6 gold, hope this changes) and seems to include, at least a lot of, the other readings in the certificate bundle.

As much has been going on with the launch of L7 I understand that this hasn't been done yet, but I really hope you remove the reference to Platinum altogether. As far as I can see it has been made vaguer than it was ("often tailored"). Still, for courses with a similar amount of readings available as in NT221 this is simply misleading. I do understand
