I did just notice that the topic of "Reconciliation" does not return any "hits" I am not sure what determines the ontology but this seems to fit the category. (?)
"Reconciliation" is an alternate label for the concept The Holy Spirit and Salvation . With my library it currently returns results in 8 systematic

For resources that have their own data type (like Calvin's Institutes), it should work with multiple editions. This list of data types looks fairly recent. If you see an issue once this next round of updates are released, let us know and we'll see what we can do about it.

That would be an issue for the Verbum team to help us address: I'm not sure how soon that might happen, though, given their current staffing constraints.
Ah I see it is time for my regular diatribe. If Verbum=Catholic this is not a Verbum issue ... something Faithlife seems loath to understand
As described on this page: https://www.logos.com/resources/LLS_CIDBDOCLOGOSVOCAB/logos-controlled-vocabulary-dataset-documentation
There are several dataset documentation resources that we're still in the process of creating, including this one. We hope to have this released soon.
-
Thanks for the encouragement! I'll pass that along to the team. We've still got quite a bit more planned, and now there's a way to provide feedback for specific datasets on their Faithlife group, so we'd love to hear any suggestions for how to make this and other documentation items more useful.
We're having some technical issues with delivering the videos, so they're not yet viewable.
They should be available now.

The convention for a sense S whose label is "X Y" is that S is "a kind of" X, but its concrete expression or conceptualization is as Y. In the current data (I'm looking at 5.1b SR-2), the sense "internal feature bowels" is indeed a child of "internal feature", along with "bosom (thoughts)", "congnition
Wow. Thanks Mark!!! Another way to crash Logos5. I clicked on your reference logos4:Senses;KeyId=ws.internal_feature.n.01 and promptly crashed my L5. I have to refine it a bit, so that it will qualify for the crash-L5 competition, but I'm confident. I'm guessing it doesn't buffer the memory correctly and so other competitors won
(6) What I wrote didn't make sense, sorry! What I was trying to say that internal feature bowels is not a child of internal feature , but a sibling. And the point about order was probably caused by the fact that all the others have '(internal feature)' afterwards. I realize that's conveying different information, but it probably

That gets me back to other verses that use the lemma, but since my preferred Bible is English, those texts are still English. So that just puts me back at step 1.
I already purchased Logos 4 and am praying that Logos would allow me to search for key words in all the titles, for this is the best way to research my library with article that pertain to the topic I need to research
Ben: You can search in Headings, which i think is what you mean by "titles" (adding Large Text will

Rosie: We're very open to receiving LCV suggestions, and we haven't yet been able to expand into all the areas we'd like to. The highest priorities for me are More fine-grained concepts for Biblical subjects with ambiguous names (e.g. all the different Simons and Zechariahs) Incorporating the numerous user contributions to topics.logos.com Figures from
-
Just to expand a little: you can create new pages on topics.logos.com for concepts you think we ought to have. See http://topics.logos.com/Example_Topic_Page for an example: in particular, free to add alternate labels, and links to dictionary articles that you think are relevant. It would be better if you can search a little first to see if there's
I'd also like to see a Topics dropdown menu to choose from (like the Topics browser in L3). We have no idea what is included in the LCV (Logos Controlled Vocabulary) now, and it would be great to know ahead of time whether our search is going to hit a target. If we get close but don't know how to spell it correctly, for example
-
Francis, Rosie: Can you help me understand what behavior you want to see (whether L3 Topic Search was a faithful implementation of that or not)? Heading search is underway: not enough resources are tagged this way yet to make it highly useful, but we're revising more resources to enable this, and our goal is for all new resources to have headings be

The amount of heading text that is separately marked up is still limited (though there are more than just journals): probably a couple of dozen resources have this today. But we're going back through older resources to add this markup, and it's a standard part of our process now for new books. So you'll see more and more get released, and our ultimate

The other suggestion i can make is that all the plants of the Bible are incorporated into Biblical Things. So if you look up "lily", you'll get a complete list of references, as well as images from, and links to, the dictionaries you own (that are part of the LCV).

Bohuslav, Kevin: Actually we have noticed (and fixed) it: this and a number of other map fixes (that people haven't noticed yet ) should be getting released soon. However, Kevin's advice is correct: if you find issues like this, please report them to data@logos.com.

Greg: Assuming the Mac version works like the PC, the homepage content changes daily. So the picture you saw was illustrative, not what the homepage will always look like. But all the infographics, ,maps, and other features will eventually be there.
