• Re: Question re availability of Logos desktop resources on iPhone app
In case someone comes across this question later. To access mobile resources (iOS, Biblia, and the coming Android app) you need either the Minimal Crossgrade or an L4 base package.
How does this relate to the FreeBookPrview books? That site does not mention needing a Logos base package at all. If Logos wants to move

  • Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament: helpful for absolute beginners?

Would Steven Runge's http://www.logos.com/product/3888/lexham-discourse-greek-new-testament-bundle be helpful to someone starting to learn Koine Greek from absolute zero? I want to start learning biblical Greek in 2011. I'm going to start with Mounce's Greek for the Rest of us and then move on to his Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar along with http

  • Re: Add my own photos to Biblical Places and Things

That would be pretty sweet. Especially if it used geotags to automatically link them to places already defined in Logos. To take that thought one step further, it would be cool to pull in geotagged photos from Flickr and places like that.

  • Re: Basic Question about how Logos works on iPad

I highly doubt that they will substantially change the 9.7" model screen size. It would not surprise me if they added another SKU with a ~7" screen, given the success of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. If they up the resolution, and with the way Apple does these things on the iOS devices, it should be nothing but a positive change. They would scale everything

  • Re: Remote Access Apps for the iPad? #2

It looks like Splashtop Remote suport Wake-on-LAN (WOL), and it is only $2: http://support.splashtopremote.com/home > FYI, WOL requires that you turn on that functionality in the BIOS/Setup and that your iPad is on the same network (e.g. inside your house) as your laptop. I highly recommend TeamViewer for Remote Access. It is basically the same as LogMeIn

  • Re: Basic Question about how Logos works on iPad

Yes, you can do that. It is called "Offline Reading Mode." You have to select each book that you want individually and then it will download them. Although, you can't search while offline. See this video for more information: http://www.logos.com/video/2443/offline-reading-mode-logos-iphone-app FYI, there is a good possibility that the iPad 2 will be

  • Re: Spreadsheet for tracking Logos Videos

Thanks! I've been thinking about creating a checklist of videos, so that I could go through them while I have some off days around New Years. I updated your Excel spreadsheet with the videos from the wiki page. I don't have a Mac or Numbers, so I didn't do anything with that one. 6712.Logos Video Tracker 12-26-10 (modified).xls

  • add some crowd-sourced description fields (e.g. populartags, avgrating)

I think it would be really helpful if there were some additional fields available in the library and for creating dynamic collections that included some Logos community crowd-sourced data. Some examples that I think would be really cool: Average Logos user rating - avgrating "My Tags" most used by Logos users - populartags You could even weight those

  • Re: What Pillar volumes are in Platinum base?

Thanks for info! Then, for anyone else that is looking at these, the volumes that are not in Platinum and that are in the 2010 Christmas sale are: Pillar New Testament Commentary: The Acts of the Apostles Pillar New Testament Commentary: The Letter to the Philippians Pillar New Testament Commentary: The Letter to the Hebrews

  • What Pillar volumes are in Platinum base?

The compare base packages page says that the Platinum includes "Pillar New Testament Commentary (10 vols.)": Compare Logos 4 Base Packages The only Pillar Collection that I can find includes 8 volumes: Pillar New Testament Commentary (PNTC) (8 vols.) Are there two more volumes included in Platinum that are not in the Pillar Collection above? I'm planning

  • Import reading plan for CSV

I would like to be able to import a reading plan into Logos 4 from a CSV file. That way people could do a highly defined reading plan (e.g. M’Cheyne) and not have to hack the XML in the reading plan DB.

  • Feature Request: View collections sets in library view

I would love to be able to use my collections sets in the library view. It would make the library, and collections, more useful and easier to browse, if I could select a collection and get a list of books that are only in that collection.

  • Re: Will newly manufactured books get added into collections?

Thank you all for the information; it is a tremendous help. I'm still trying to get a sense of how the Logos market works, so I can try to get the most bang for my buck. I've been reading the forums a good bit over the past month or so. This seems to to be really friendly and helpful community. Your responses and willingness to help proved that out

  • Will newly manufactured books get added into collections?

Do series, or base product collections, get updated with new items once they are out of pre-pub? I currently own the Silver base and will probably upgrade to the Platinum next year. Should I go ahead and get the two new Pillars on pre-pub or will they be added into the Platinum by the middle of next year? Also, I think I will probably eventually get
