Hi Steve: The Resource Panel Menu is found by clicking on the little downward pointing triangle just to the right of the image of the resource. Here is an image that may clarify this:

  • Re: Another Question About Creating Collections

Hi Abraham: For Apologtics, I created this rule (which gives me 31 resources): title:(Apologetic, atheist, defend, logic) OR subject:Apologetics If I use your rule, I get 22 resources. If I use only "topic:apologetics" I get nothing. If I use only :subject:apologetics I get 22 resources. I am not sure about the field "topic". For science, I changed your

Greetings all: I made one change to Steve's rule (which was helpful). This resulted in 100 additional titles. I changed Steve's last variable from ... AND title:commen to: ... AND (title:commen OR type:"Bible Commentary") Actually, I first made it read: ... ANDNOT (title:commen OR type:"Bible Commentary"), which allowed me to go through a list of resources

  • Resources no longer licensed and PBB

Greetings all: Will 4.0 import resources Logos no longer has a license for (e.g. Barclay's commentaries)? If so, how do I do it? If not, I'm sad. Will 4.0 import PBBs I already downloaded into 3.0? If so, how do I do it? Thank you Chuck

  • Kudos

Greetings all: In less than 10 minutes, the good people at Logos took my phone call, found my information and entered me for 7 Zondervan pre-pub titles using the Pradis discount. It actually took longer to create my list before I called than the entire ordering process took! You can read about the discount at: http://blog.logos.com/archives/2010/02

  • Re: Video tutorial: Creating collections

Thank you Mark. This is helpful. Perhaps this would be a bit more simple if Logos could create a searchable field specific to each book of the Bible for each commentary. Something like this: Type: Bible Commentary, Matthew Type: Bible Commentary, Mark Type: Bible Commentary, Luke Type: Bible Commentary, John ... Type: Bible Commentary, 1 John Type:

  • Collection Rules: Emptpy field

Can I create a collect rule that says there is nothing in the my tags field? This does not work for me, but it does, I think, illustrate the collection rule I am trying to create: type:Bible-Commentary AND mytag:empty The purpose of the rule would be to allow me to identify all the Bible-Commentaries that have not yet been tagged (this seems to be faster

Hi Thomas: Thank you for the help! It works beautifully!. Hi David: This is my list. It was created 3 years ago. I hope it helps. I use the underscore ( _ ) as the first character because it comes before numbers or letters in the ASCII character set. As such, it makes this come at the top of a list. By the way, when looking at the background of a Bible

  • Re: The rule does not work

title:small group ---without quotes, also returns a clean list in my library. Does this work because the space between the words "small" and "group" is considered the operator AND ? Also, in this rule-- author:(oswald, chambers) -- is the comma treated as the operator OR ?

If I type the rule -- title:small group ANDNOT myth -- it works. But if I type the rule - (title:small group) ANDNOT title:myth -- it does not work. It does not matter how I nest the phrase within the parenthesis, the rule gives nothing. Which seems to limit the usefulness. Am I missing something?

Hi all: I have spent this week thinking about and trying to create collections. Along the way I have found resources I did not know I had, yet they are very good resources. What I am finding is, slightly different (or quite different, for that matter) rules yield different results. When the list begins to number 15 or 20 volumes, I frankly get lost
