I am running Logos 5.0b SR-3 (5.0.2.0752) and have an apparent problem with synchronization. I am getting this error message: "An error occurred during synchronization, click to try again." I have clicked several times and get the same error message. I have restarted Logos and even rebooted my computer and still I get the error message. I am able to

Hi Graham: Thank you! I did begin excluding resources. However, I am still trying to identify some "grand unifying theme" in the subject field. My problem is my brain may not be big enough to do that. If we could convert Stephen Hawking, he may find the grand unifying theme Chuck

Thank you Graham! I started with your string and have edited to: commentary ANDNOT type:(commentary, "bible commentary", apparatus, bible, calendar, encyclopedia, journal, lexicon) ANDNOT tag:”Study Bible” I want to try to refine the collection.I am still thinking about ways to tighten up the string to get weed out additional resources that will not

Thank you Graham. Ouch! Given that I have so many commentaries and a significant portion of them are not versified this will be a bit of a task. I created a collection as you suggested. Your suggestion worked best if I only searched by entire chapters with Passage Guide. I have two additional questions: 1. If a book is already in a collection of versified
-
Greetings all: I have created about 6 different collections of commentaries to use with searching and My Passage Guide. However, several of the non-versified books do not seem to show up when I am using Passage Guide to search in the collection I have specified. For example, I have added William Ramsay's Historical Commentary on the Epistles to the

Thank you so much! This is very helpful! I defaulted to "bible commentary" but thought there may be an abbreviation. Chuck

Greetings all: I am trying to create filters (for looking in my library and for collections). However, the nomenclature of the various "types" is not always clear to me. If I want to exclude, the "type" Bible Commentary, what do I call it? ANDNOT type:BibleCommentary does not seem to work. The same for "My Tags" Is there a page on the wiki that will

A hearty "Thank You" for helping me!

Thank you! Is there a way to place the search criteria within parenthesis? title:(spiritual AND gifts) -- which does not work. Chuck
-
Greetings all: I am trying to finds books in my library whose titles include the words "Spiritual" AND "Gifts." (if those two words are not in the title, I do not want them listed.) If I use this string in my library: title:spiritual AND gifts One of the three books Logos identifies is: Preaching with spiritual passion: How to stay fresh in your calling

Thank you for your help. I missed it because I did not click on the Support Tab, which brings up the page you pointed to. I clicked on "Support Articles" on the Support Tab and then on Windows support. The link I posted (despite it being copied directly from the URL) is a different page than the one I got following the steps I listed above. If I click

Thank you! (I am aware of how the wiki works and I do read it.) I was not sure why I could not find anything on Logos' web site. And when I was linked back to it; it made me wonder what other useful bits may exist on Logos' pages that I do not know and have no way of knowing about. Chuck

Greetings: Thank you for your input, However, it does not answer my question. Where do I find Personal Books information/help/articles on the Logos Support pages? At least, as I understood their layout, I could find nothing. (Though I found one article when I was sent there by a wiki link.) Chuck
-
While trying to learn about Personal Books, I navigated to Logos' support articles page ( http://www.logos.com/support/articles) and then to the Windows specific page ( http://www.logos.com/support/windows) . I could not find any help for personal books on either page. However, if I log on to the wiki page, it has this link: http://www.logos.com/support

As soon as I try to open it, Logos stops working, forcing me to close the program and start over.I have tried to open it from My Library, by using the "+" tab, by typing the command to open it and by scrolling through my Bibles. Every time I get tot he Good News
