• Re: NET Bible notes, 2nd ed
Why didn't the NT translators add the much needed Biblical references that most translations have today? Why just have footnotes?
Cross-references are literally built into Logos and you have the marvelous New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge I hope. The NET Bible isn't meant to be a Swiss Army Knife for the Bible.

  • Re: Reading Apocrypha

Wasn't aware of the Lutheran work. Something for my wish list. I do think putting a high or higher priority on a Bible with the Apocrypha makes complete sense. There's a lot of cross-referencing for Septuagint usage in what I use. Might as well be near top.

  • Re: Apple Silicon

I've read a bit more and apparently Apple isn't leaving Intel any time soon. It just makes a bit harder to determine if you should wait for an ARM machine based on your own usage if you need a new machine. My 2012 Mac Mini will still run Catalina and L8. Nearly eight years old is still amazing. FL still has to support the existing user base and no one

I see only one of these as actually being a potential deal for me. My take would be to call your rep if there's any grace on a package you are maybe less on because of dynamic pricing. They most likely have more leverage as Lexham is in-house.

  • Re: Apple Silicon

Nothing whatsoever indicates to me that anything one currently does in Logos 8 is somehow going to be shoved off the cliff in Big Sur or altered by an ARM processor beyond the likelihood of some genuinely appreciated welcome speed boosts. This will be wonderful. Hold off on a new Mac and buy more Logos resources. This will soon pass as the nothing burger

It's clearly more than one day. I have a couple in my wish list so this is good. Summer selling is often very slow, so I am sure that has a lot to do with this.

The NIC gets first place. I would go for it and consider WBC next time around. Sales seem to happen once or twice a year so you aren't likely to miss out.

  • Re: New MBA processor question

I am sure it will work, but I would upgrade to a quad core processor. I'd personally have to upgrade because of my library size alone. Keep in mind that manufacturers baseline for ordinary use. Logos is still a resource hog that will use whatever you have. I think Apple has a winner with these machines. Just make sure you get enough built in for the

  • Re: What's the deal with the FamilyLife Edition?

Free continual use for most people satisfies the need for resources with a lot of people in what is largely invisible to others. FWIW, free libraries like this is actually what's paid for on the part of Faithlife and the actual dollars of people who purchased to sustain the creation of all these materials. I look at this as just electronic grace.

  • Re: Is this Denomination Represented in a Logos Base Package?

The Pentecostal/Charismatic package has traditionally served the AOG users. I wouldn't take what's in the packages as aligning with the denomination. I kind of groan at the wonky nature of stuff that wafts through the packages in this category (but it's not limited to this one either!).
