Sounds great.

I can upload a log. But I am wondering, lately, whether there is any benefit to continuing to assist Logos with bug reports. I simply want to use Logos (and have it be a pleasure to use). I don't want to work for Logos as a QA resource. If there was a rapid, direct correlation between working for Logos for free (reporting bugs, uploading logs, etc)

Anyone from Logos care to acknowledge this bug? Or is there a better way to report bugs? Perhaps calling the help desk multiple times each day will help?
When it does make its way to the top of the list
Any idea how long this might take...? I ask because some of the bugs I've reported in the Mac version of Logos are now over 11 months old and still unattended to. I am, daily, debating if/when to give up on Logos and switch to Accordance and "we'll fix it one day
Claiming you are holding back development for 7% of users just seems a bit rich considering the larger percentage of mac users lost to logos 4.
Especially rich since performance reasons (mixed in with many long-standing unresolved bugs and regular crashes) are the primary reason I've spent two weekends investigating
Are you reporting these via the "Report Typo" option in the right click menu? You will bring this issue to the attention of the proper people this way.
I'm flogging a dead horse, I know, but I'm almost at the end of my rope and my "trust" in Logos is almost all gone. But, I have in the past reported typos (in BHS

Any way to know if / when Logos will correct this? Or at least obtain some word from Logos that they are aware of this issue and will attend to it..? This is the most frustrating part of Logos as a company... the black-hole syndrome. I don't mind reporting bugs, but the almost complete lack of response from Logos (is there any formal bug tracker within
Will send an email to Logos to make sure someone who can get things done sees this thread.
Thanks Jack.

Jack, Yes, there is only one version of BHS in my library ( Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia: With Werkgroep Informatica, Vrije Universiteit Morphology; Bible. O.T. Hebrew. Werkgroep Informatica, Vrije Universiteit. , Logos Bible Software, 2006). I have the Logos Scholar's Library -- perhaps the other BHS's come from Silver or Gold library?
-
Apart from getting Logos into online mode and "Report Typo" for each typo, can someone from Logos confirm that there is a problem in BHS and commit to fix it? Or do I need to call the support line and request a Hebrew Bible that is free of typos?
-
I'm not sure what, if any, work was done on this bug in 4.5 beta 7 but applying a highlight now takes around 3-5 seconds (still maxes out one CPU core, unfortunately). This may be because I'm running offline at present. Any word from Logos confirming that this has been looked at will be appreciated (there's nothing in release notes for recent betas

Kinda sad as most of my reading is done offline on my Macbook. Besides, Logos' performance is better offline and battery life is better - syncing seems to chew battery life a fair bit. Be nice if typos could be created offline and synchronized later when online like everything else...

"Report Typo" no longer appears in the right-click menu. It used to (at least I recall it in the Windows version) but it's not there now. Perhaps it's because I'm running offline at present? Also, I have in the past reported typos (back when I used the Windows version) using "Report Typo" but the same typos continue to exist, making one wonder if there

I'd prefer a fix... but will try the "work-around" in the meanwhile.

This happens most times when I start Logos. Very annoying. Have to manually "maximise" window/s each time. 4.5 beta 7, OS X 10.7.2 - see screenshot:
-
Over time as I've read through BHS I've encountered a number of typos in BHS. I haven't documented them before but am getting more bugged by them as time passes and so have decided to report each one as I encounter it. The Westminster text doesn't have these problems so I assume it's bug either in Logos for Mac (don't have a Windows PC to check on)
-
I don't think you need apologize for your inability to reproduce bugs. That's part of the issue with Logos 4 - bugs that only affect some people and that Logos often cannot reproduce.
PLEASE FIX SOME OF THE BUGS PRIOR TO ADDING ANOTHER FEATURE. It is horribly irritating to have features that almost work.
I feel your pain, Jack... oh, do I feel your pain. Been waiting for exactly 11 MONTHS now (to the day) to have the Newly applied highlighting takes up to 10-15 seconds to appear, 100% CPU bug fixed

Didn't know it was there. It works pretty well. One small issue - increasing text size (Cmd +) causes some overlapping of text in footnotes. Otherwise very nicely done.
