Thanks for your help & suggestions Mike. I tried disabling plug in (in Safari) However L4 still does not open

David & Mike - thank you for your replies & help. I tried deleting the 'layouts.db' Results: *Logos 4 opened fully - with no workspaces (as expected) *Logos home showed up correctly *when I tried to open a book from the library there was no response *when I tired to open a various books as floating windows they each appeared grey with the title 'untitled

Here are the logs David. the first reply to my initial post - reply by Mike Binks - mentioned a plug in error in my Safari: I am not sure what error this is - as far as I know the only plug in I have is Rapport - a security programme that my online banking suggested installing - I assume this is not the cause of my problems. Many thanks, Tom

woops.... here are the logs! 6076.Archive.zip

Apologies: I mean "Page View" (Shift-Command-P) not "reading view" - that's where I get problems with text display! I.E. when Logos is in display mode without the scroll bar to the left with previous locations showing - that's when I get the problems.
-
Partial solution: (I think it is a programming issue?) To avoid display issues - if I press page down key / space bar / or click arrows at bottom - display issues do not show up - however they do if I use the arrow keys to move a page up or down. In Reading view arrows work as they should, with no display problems.
-
Interface of Logos 4 requests to aid easy use When opening L4 could the window dimensions be the same as one had left it before (e.g. I tend to use it half screen, but filling top to bottom with the toolbar hidden) - currently it opens the same shape, toolbar exposed. Updating bookmarks (as you read on within a book when you start again from where your

Good to hear that it works for you Adam - so it must be something my end... After more experimentation I think it is because I had too many panels open simultaneously. Once I started with a fresh layout and a smaller number of panels ⌘G began to work as expected - great! Now that I can enter the passage via the keyboard - is there another keyboard shortcut
deleting your layouts.db might do the trick
where do I find this file? Spotlight doesn't seem to bring it up / a quick look by me (Thanks everyone for the help)

David, rebuild seemed to work make L4 operational again... *but sometimes an untitled window window shows up (an open floating window 'untitled' as if a book hasn't opened) *a number of windows suddenly showed up empty within the main console (I have attached a L4error file which shows a screen shot) 0028.L4 error.zip I have also attached recent logs

Anyone else having problems with the text display in "reading view"? Sometimes when scrolling down there are visual problems so that lines of text are missing. In the image below consider the middle panel - near the top lines are missing and the misplaced arrows have replaced the text. In the image below the first part of verse 14 is missing in the

Thanks for this suggestion. I have just tried just 3 open resources, and there still seems to be display issues. Not every page down gets it, but quite often. Here is an example image:

I started on Alpha 5 and now were almost there! But I have never managed to sync the location I am reading with the iphone app - am I missing something? I would like to be able to start reading in a particular book on either mac or iphone and then continue reading where I left off on the other device. Any help greatly appreciated...

Does anyone know if there is a keyboard shortcut which enables one to change the bible passage that you are viewing without using a mouse or trackpad whilst in Reading Mode? In other words I would like to move the cursor to the box where you can type the bible passage. I can navigate to this using the Tab key when not in Reading View, but can't seem

Thanks for suggesting this Randy. Though sadly this suggestion doesn't work on a Mac.
-
Thanks for this suggestion Adam. ⌘G does work on Logos Mac to navigate to the bible reference box. However this functionality does not work when one is Reading View. What I am after is a way to navigate to the bible reference box whilst in Reading View by keyboard entry. Perhaps this is not possible, and if so it would be great if this functionality
