I'm still not impressed with this format, nor with some of the newest editions I see in the prepubs. But then maybe I'm too old school and not open minded enough? rrm

Hi Marshall, they still have a PDF version at http://www.desiringgod.org/ResourceLibrary/onlinebooks/bytitle/3588_Finally_Alive/ Great to hear you are doing a discipleship group for men, it's been a passion of mine for more then 15 years now, and yes, Logos fits the need as you are preparing for your group. I've tried several books, and studies, finding
report and help us all out brother
Actually, I hope that the "Report Typo" tool works for this, because that is what I've been using and describing what it linked to instead of the intended link. Some of the links unfortunately were from other publishers other then logos, but I'm guessing that typo's and other problems

I created the same error when I do a search on "flood" and look at Nah 1:8, and also for "consumed", but then I tried a different word "plot" which in Nah 1:4 had a footnote next to it, and it didn't cause the same error. To me this is a minor error that I can live with, I'm more concerned with all the links that don't match up as I'm reading and wanting

  • Re: Dare I say that the Newsgroups are dead?

One way would be to copy everything into a word doc, or something comparable... I use the google spell checker, but with my version 7 of IE it sometimes does weird stuff. There is a spell check in the section directly above where I'm typing, but mine wasn't installed, and asks me if I want to install? NOW, how about Notes in Libronix? Ralph

  • Re: What is Logos to you?

Hi Ryan, It's a question that has different answers for the varied seasons of life since I first received my first copy, probably when it was first released on the market (it has to be more then 15 yrs, but that's only a guess). I picked mine up from the local Egghead software store, which has long been out of business, and guess what, Logos is still

  • Re: Logos startup sound -- keep it, change it, kill it?

The sound doesn't do much for me, it just tells me that it's starting up the software ( and lets me know if I have the volume turned on too loud), although it has over the years had a definitive Logos catch to it. If it was me, I'd give the user the option to turn it off, no matter what other sounds you might give folks. Blessings, Ralph

Trying out the quick reply feature on the bottom of your post. I have played around with my Google Reader, which allows me to view the RSS Feed somewhat differently and gives me options for marking items I've read, and ones that I want to keep as unread. I'm with you, there has to be options that make this work more "newsgroup" friendly to us guys that

Well, it's not as good as the New Group was, just trying a few things myself to get use to the feel of things. The tabs are worthwhile, but I'm still waiting myself for someone to convince me that this is better, and why I should love it I like the newsgroups because of navigation and simplicity... here it seems like a big production to simply ask a

Have you all tried the RSS feeds? It's easier to view that then the webpages, and then go the the webpage view from the RSS view. I've not done too much with the RSS feeds, but have seen it's advantage when looking at blogs. Also, it seems to allow you to look at the direct responses to various posts. I'm not sure, but sometimes some technology seems
