  • Re: Ages Software (Calvin, Spurgeon, others) Import Into Logos 4

This is true if they are the few Ages software packages that were produced in the old Logos format. If they are the PDF Ages files, I don't think it's possible. When you say you have a CD with a lot of other resources, I get the impression that those would be the PDF file libraries.

  • Re: OT: BDAG (BAGD??) - Hardcover Edition

Actually, it sounds more like the paper volume the original poster saw is the original edition of Bauer done by Arndt and Gingrich. Acronym BAG. It was based on the 4th German edition of Bauer. That was followed later by an edition on which Danker also worked, which produced the acronym BAGD. This appeared in 1979. Danker himself states concerning this

  • Re: Roman Catholic Resources - Help

David, this may be far beyond what you are asking for, but one possible resource from the late 16th century would be Examination of the Council of Trent by Martin Chemnitz. This is available in Logos as part of the Concordia Electronic Theological Library. The sub-collection that includes this resource is here: http://www.logos.com/products/details

  • Re: User Books

Another thing to keep in mind is the cost of shipping books. If you're moving to Lima, bringing a large print library is a huge additional expense beyond the price of the books themselves. Just something to consider when you weigh whether or not a Logos package is affordable or not at this point.

Jim, Welcome to Lima. My wife and I have been here for 20 years as Lutheran missionaries. You'll find having your resources in electronic form is great. Even from the standpoint of having your library with you when you have to travel back to the States. What sort of mission work will you be doing? David

  • Re: Roman Catholic Resources

Actually, Pusey was was not Roman Catholic, but Anglican. But to the point, you don't have to read anything by Pusey or any other author if you don't want to. Logos has to market to a broad audience: surely there are many more resources in your platinum package that are congenial to your theological position, whatever it is. I am a conservative Lutheran

Thanks. I wasn't getting the arrows. But, I discovered that my system clock had reset to 2002. I made it 2009 and all appears to be fine now.

  • How do I get Logos 4 to connect to the internet?

Everything was working fine until the last huge download. The next time after that I got the unable to connect to the logos.com server screen. Tried several times. Finally had to click on the work offline button. Since then I have seen no evidence of the program connecting to the internet to check for updates, and I can't see how to annul the work offline
