• Re: Shift-Enter no longer distinct from Enter

Rosie, That's a very helpful answer, exactly to the question I was making. Not the answer I hoped for, but nevertheless on target. I will also bring this to the attention of the development team. Thanks very much!

  • Re: Reporting Typos

I was also having trouble getting "Report typo" to work. Melissa in tech support gave me this hint: "When you right-click on the incorrect word or words, make sure you are clicking on “Selection” on the top right side of the context menu, then “Report Typo” will appear on the lower left side." It works! In return, I suggested to her that the website
Also check out Bradley's response. (both on the prior page)
I did, as mentioned on previous page, and no change in the behaviour. That's why I submitted a bug report. No word back on that yet. Bruce.
Yay, I'm fixed! A couple of things to add to the list of things to try in case anyone else runs into this: 1, 2, 3, 4...
I've followed all those steps, restarted Logos, and... still a mostly empty Home page. I haven't noticed any official tech support person from Logos on this thread, so I've submitted a bug report

  • Re: So is the cost a secret?

Since this is web-based software, I expect the price will be an annual fee. Initially it's a low cost, but after several years it would likely be greater than buying a software package outright.
Thanks for the additional information. I've passed it on.
You're welcome, Melissa. However, a month has passed, a new update has been installed, and I haven't received any suggestions about this problem. What is the status of this matter, please? Bruce.

  • Sorting notes hits a snag: when the Bible reference spans more than one book.

I appreciate Notes being sorted in canonical order. After I've added a number of notes, I just go to the menu icon in the Notes window, choose "Sort," and it does it all. Except for one anomaly: It doesn't know what to do with one particular note for which the Bible reference is "1 Kings 22:51 - 2 Kings 1:18." It always puts this at the very bottom
So, write one in Java. It certainly can't be any slower than the Windows front end is already. If they did it in Java, then they only need one front end for Mac, Linux, and Windows. Uhhhh.? It's not like they can't afford to write new code. • Error message: "You cannot install to a system folder."

That's the error message I get when I change the folder where I want to install Logos. Instead of having it buried deep in the Documents folder, I want to place it in the "Program files" folder. But I can't! Whoever heard of an application which can't be installed in the "Program files" folder? That's where programs are SUPPOSED to be installed!!

  • Copy Bible Verses Syntax - [Complete Version]

When copying Bible text, one can include the abbreviation for the translation by using [Version.] I would prefer the option of including the full name of the translation. So add the syntax option [Complete Version]. So, instead of, say, "NLT," it would read "New Living Translation."

  • Not one, not two, but THREE Resource Manager folders!

I was searching through my Logos4 folder looking for a missing file. I didn't find it (that's the topic of another thread), but what I did find was astonishing. My Logos4 folder structure has the following (this is not everything, just selected items) Logos4 - Data - xumwqkaf.dlk - BibleIndex - LibraryIndex - ResourceManager - Documents - Data - bzoybrov
But the thread title here implies you want to "return" a resource you bought earlier so you can re-buy it now at a lower price.
You're quite right, the thread title does imply that. In the text, though, I put it more clearly: "Can I get a refund for the difference ?"

Since the 4.5 update came in this week, I've noticed an improvement in typing speed. It's not up to the standard it should be, but at least it's an improvement.

I think my original question has been answered by Bradley. But out of courtesy to Rosie, I'll answer her questions.
I have never removed the Logos icon from my Start menu, so I can't really say "I've never experienced this" as I said before. However I am not sure why you need to keep removing it. What is wrong with leaving
I just drag the shortcut to my preferred location and it replaces the outdated shortcut.
But the problem is that the original shortcut is not outdated. The locations of the Logos folder and executable have not changed. This extra Logos shortcut is a redundant and useless annoyance.
