Thanks for your suggestion, Bruce, but I don't think a brand new post is needed. It's already pretty clear on Phil Gons's announcement post that Logos 9 is available only for purchase:
I’m pleased to announce that Logos 9 is now available for purchase online , over the

Hi Andrew, Even better than my last couple of suggestions: Make a brand new post with that basic information that Version 9 is available only to people who buy the upgrade. Then make it so that post remains at the top of "Logos 9 Desktop App" forum. So it will always be the first thing people see when they come to the version 9 topic. (Probably do the

Hi Andrew, Ah yes, I see Philana's original post now reads "now available to all Logos 9 users." That really doesn't help though. The title for this whole thread is "Version 9 is now available." Well, that's not exactly what it says, but that will be how many people will understand it, unless they read to the very bottom of this thread, and see what
-
Andrew, Thanks for solving the confusion. Now please go one step further, and correct Philana's original post which says "version 9.0 SR-2 is now available to ALL users." (my emphasis). That will help everyone immensely!
-
Philana, The "download link" in your post goes to a page with the sub-heading "How to Install Logos 8 Bible Software." And when I run the LogosSetup.exe there, it says I'm already running the latest version. And I'm on 8.17 SR-1, 8.17.0.0014.

Thanks, Bradley!

I get frustrated at the many times I see Logos pointing out spelling errors in my Notes, which are not errors at all; they're just using British spelling. Please enable users to choose a dictionary with British spelling. There are at least a dozen Forum threads on British/American spelling in books which Logos sells. I haven't found any Forum threads
-
Bradley, You're quite right about the Logos tool not causing the problem. It turns out the Word problem wasn't with Add-ins at all, but rather with macros that I copied from a previous version of Word. I re-created the macros in the current version, saved them, and Word gurgled happily like a baby. Thanks for your help.

I've read lots on the Forum about how to use Logos' tool for connecting with Smart Tags in Microsoft Office. But I don't use Smart Tags, and have turned them off. Every time I close Word 2013, I get the message: " Changes have been made that affect the global template - normal. Do you wish to save those changes? " All indications are that an Add-in

Jan, I like your idea best. I voted for it, and so has someone else. We're now up to 24!!!!

Here's the scenario: I'm reading the Bible on Android. I wonder, "How does that read in NameVersion ?" So I tap the top left icon, and out pops the menu. From it I choose "Library." And instead of choosing from 10 different Bible versions, I need to go through the list of 1,000+ items in my Logos library -- even though 99% of them are not installed
Click the "Inline interlinear" toolbar button, then uncheck the "Inline" checkbox.
Bradley, Once again, you show your excellence! Thank-you.

More information: If I switch to any other Bible version which have this information available (such ESV, NASB), they all display normally. Switch back to NIV, and all those extra lines appear. Logos is up to date: 6.3 SR-2, 6.3.0.0074
-
Well, this is odd. A while ago, the NIV started displaying all the morphological stuff that I don't use, and don't even know how to use. So it's just clutter on the page. I just want to read the plain text! No, I don't have any of the interlinear things turned on, as you can see from the screenshot below. I've obviously hit some kind of switch to show
This is not (and has never been) supported after starting the app fresh. However, if you have the app in read mode (or a different view) and tap the Home button, when the app is started again it will open where you left it. Please see http://screencast.com/t/Mw5mgYPZNWHW
Thanks, Kevin, for your help. The video shows

I looked over the Tutorial page, and I see how to choose my preferred Bible (done), and how to configure the Home Page. I did the latter, unchecking everything. Unfortunately, it doesn't take the hint, and still insists on showing me the Home page, with "News" items. (There's no way to uncheck that.) All I want is to be able to do the same as is possible
-
Let me know if this takes care of it.
Thanks for the guidance. Fortunately, I can't tell you if it helps. What I mean is, after I was finally able to enter an acceptable password, it remembers that every time I start. I haven't had to log in since then. And, as someone noted in another post on the "Android Apps"
Since Logos uses the email address as a username it makes some sense to me that it would be case-sensitive.
I did some experimenting: I can log in to Logos on Windows and the Logos.com website, using caps or no caps -- it makes no difference. It's only in Android. So I'd call that a bug, not security.
-
I couldn't log in to Logos on my Android; kept getting the error message about wrong email/password. I finally figured it out: the email field is case-sensitive. Sometimes I capitalize the first letter of my name, and sometimes I don't. This used to be important in email; that stopped being so years ago. I understand that the password must be case-sensitive

Well, it appears that Dustin was unable to recover my missing Notes. That's not surprising: the two Notes files in question were written a few years ago, and haven't been edited since then. Just like I don't keep my backups forever, apparently neither does Logos. Again, no surprise or fault there; that would be impractical. Lesson learned: I have now
