  • Re: 13a - Keyboard Shortcuts and Focus

Keyboard shortcuts greatly simplify things all the way around. I am sure they will be implemented eventually, since they do work at least to some extent on the windows side. However, I think that a greater allowance for keyboard usage would be great. Of course my ideal would be for Logos to setup a function map such as many games offer to allow users

  • Re: Indexing on every program start in A11

I have something similar happening, although mine is indexing on reboots. So far 4 reboots and every time it comes up. It is the same as above though, anticipating 3-5 hours and then finishing in 15-30 minutes. The odd thing is that I don't even open L4 (A11) for this to happen.

  • Re: Book suggestion - Sailhamer / Pentateuch

Unfortunately this is not a Logos issue, it is a Zondervan issue. Until recently there was no hope at all of ever having Zondervan books available on Logos. However, Zondervan recently licensed Logos' technology and will be publishing books in Logos format. However, it remains their choice which books they will make available. we would be better off

  • Re: A11 - Sync Error

could someone perhaps help me with this? I am having the exact same issue. I am sure I am missing something because at least in my A11 program settings/preferences shows as being unavailable so I cannot set the preference to download automatically, and when I copied the "Set automatically download updates to Yes" in the command field nothing happened

  • Re: Request for LDLS3 Notes Capabilities in L4 (And maybe a bit more...)

I concur. I use notes for my exegetical study. I do a full exegetical study on each verse, so I have a note file for every book of the Bible, and a note for each verse that I have studied! I am dreading trying to deal with notes once I import what I have in L3 and then not being able to organize them by verse!! I REALLY don't want to keep my data in

  • Re: Running L4 on a Mac using Fusion

Jack, & Terry, thank you for the suggestions. I did have the default RAM allotted. I had forgotten about that when I deleted my XP boot camp partition and rebuilt it with Windows 7 and then redid the VM. Between increasing the ram to 2 GB and turning off the 3D acceleration things seem to be working much better now. I had been using VM for 3.0 so I

  • Re: Libronix online activation error

well, I kinda cheated to resolve the issue. I installed the journals on my XP machine and ran the activation and sync on that one and then backed up the licenses and restored them on my windows 7 machine.:-)

  • Re: Libronix online activation error

I am having a very similar error. I am running WIndows 7 and just installed the Theological Journal Library 12. I get the same error when running they sync licenses. I have not done the installation on my old computer which runs XP, but it is able to successfully sync, so it is something specific to WIndows 7. I tried disabling my firewall and that

  • Re: Running L4 on a Mac using Fusion

I too have fusion 3.0.1, windows 7, and L4, and while I will say that they all function well, I cannot share the aforementioned rousing endorsement. Frankly it is so slow that it hurts. The refresh is so bad that typing in notes is almost impossible, and scrolling in books isn't much better. I am running a 2009 MBP with 2.93, 4GB, and running on high

  • Re: Notes Suggestions

yes, in L3 I used notes for all my exegetical preparation, so I created a note file for each book of the bible, and notes for each verse I worked with. With L4 this could get really awkward really fast! I cannot even imagine trying to do all my work in Word, it is so much easier to have everything in one application, but I expect to get lost in each

  • Exegetical Guide target

In L3 - I am sure everyone is tired of having L4 compared to L3, but what else are we to compare this nearly perfect product with? - yet I digress, In L3 when I used the Exegetical guide and selected a grammatical artical it opened a book in a window (expected behavior). After that any other grammatical links I selected all opened in the same window

  • Re: Serial Resource Associations

I have a partial solution. I have an "aggregate" collection of single book commentaries that I use. In L3 I set them up as serial resources which worked great. On L4 I set them up as a collection and they still work as a serial resource with 1 huge exception. For the moment I am using only 1 commentary on the OT in this collection and this does not

  • BUG: L4 Mac Program crashes when selecting Tools - Collections

Hmm, I seem to have broken it and I just tried it! From the newly revised Home page I simply put in Gen 1.1 after a moment it starts to pull up a nifty looking page. While things are still trying to resolve on the left hand side, I clicked tools - collections and the whole program crashed and disappeared, no warnings, no errors, just gone. I can and

  • Re: Academic Pricing variance

I am certainly not going anywhere else. I cannot chalk it up to a mistake because it has happened more than once, with different sales people. I don't know if perhaps the academic line rolls over to regular sales so perhaps I was talking with one of the regular sales folks instead of academic, despite having called the academic line.

  • Academic Pricing variance

I have encountered a situation several times now and I am curious if anybody can explain what is going on. I am a seminary student working towards a degree. When I checked on the academic website yesterday to get the price for upgrading from L3 Scholars Silver to L4 Scholars Silver they list one price. When I called academic sales to order (yes, I know

  • More Search thoughts

I know searching is one of the frequent topics for suggestions. I think it would be useful on the search to be able to integrate fuzzy search as an option in the Bible search (and basic search for that matter) , so that it could be limited to specific subsets. If it were an option perhaps like: Search: {enter search query here} Return: Chapter (*) Verse
