• [acknowledged]Bug: RTL verse numbers?

I just noticed something that I do not recall encountering in L5, so I don't know if it is a L6 bug, a resource specific bug, or not a bug at all. In the BHS, BHS/WTS 4.0 Morph, BHS/WTS 4.2 Morph, BHS/WIVU, Lexham Hebrew Interlinear, & Parallel Aligned Heb/Aram/Greek all have verse numbers using English numbers, but displaying them RTL, so that an English

Thanks Alan. Good luck with that code!

  • Re: Bug: Search Error in Journals

The notes are tied to Rom 1:17 and Eph 2:8, yet the flags show up a line lower. The searched reference is not highlighted but part of a random word is, almost as if there is an offset between text data and tag location, although that is complete speculation since I have no idea on the details of how tags are displayed in relation to the text. This is

  • Re: Bug: Search Error in Journals

Is it possible for a resource to become corrupt? I have tried rebuilding my entire index (since I saw Mr Hooten's suggestion a bit late) and then subsequently tried his suggestion when there was no discernible difference in results. I tried a little testing to see if the issue was only that single reference or if other references have trouble too. I

Excellent idea! Than you, I should have thought of that myself. I can set it to rebuild over night.

  • [acknowledged]Bug: Search Error in Journals

I tried to do a simple Bible subset search looking through some journals for references to either Ps 14:7 OR Ps 53:6. Most of my returns were what one would expect, but two returns were wholly erroneous. One linked to just basic text (2 letters not found anywhere in my search string) and the other linked to text across 3 boxes including references not

  • Text Comparison between 2 Passages?

Is there a way to compare and highlight differences between two different passages? For example Psalm 14 is nearly identical to Psalm 53. Is there a way to flag the differences in Hebrew? Or When the Septuagint is quoted in the NT, is can I do a Greek/Greek comparison between the Septuagint passage and the quotation and highlight the differences?

  • Re: Reproducible L6 Notes problem

@fgh - I have been working with Faithlife tech support on this specific issue and we have identified that this occurs only when notes are in the split view. If you have not upgraded to 10.10, would you mind checking to see if having a note open in split view spikes your processor use?

Dylan, I emailed a short recording of the behavior of problem #3 to Tommy Ball (because I have his email address and I don't have yours) that shows the problem happening. Once it occurs it is repeatable until I go back and delete the characters around the insertion point. Although the recording has this happen on a bulleted point, the problem also occurs

Thanks for the bump. I ended up calling tech support and the tech was able to see me demonstrate the issue and took some samples to pass on to the developer

  • Re: L6 Notes Bugs (Minor) & Questions

I did a quick check, and it looks like this may be a matter of me using notes to an extent it has not been designed for. the note that I am working on is the equivalent of 29 pages in a word doc, complete with LOTS of bulleted notes. I created a quick new note and started typing in with no lag whatsoever. I grabbed some random text from another note

Tommy, you may have missed my machine stats above. I am running Mac OS 10.9. In fact you helped me over the phone and team viewer this week on a different but perhaps related issue regarding processor usage and notes. :-) I don't know if there is a comparable font cache problem with Mac but will try to research it more. Thanks!

  • Re: L6 Notes Bugs (Minor) & Questions

Dylan, I don't suppose while you were reproducing my issue you happened to notice a problem with text input into notes being slow. Mine is always so slow that I can type a sentence and then sit back and watch it complete the final several words. I assure you I don't type all that fast either! I imagine this is the typing lag that Doug mentioned in his

Hooray for success in reproducing this bug! Thank you for taking the time to respond and follow this through. I look forward to seeing the update in the fullness of developmental time. :-D

  • Re: L6 Notes Bugs (Minor) & Questions

I thought I would post another screen shot because you can clearly see the cursor behind the scroll bar. It seems almost as if the right limit of the text box is set before the scroll bar appears and when the note becomes long enough that scrolling starts that right limit is never updated to the new dimensions once the scroll bar is in place. Just a

I forgot to mention, and this is definitely relevant: I use three monitors, with a single monitor dedicated to typing in notes. Each time I open my notes or my layout which includes my notes, I have to move the vertical divider between the left column of note references/titles and the text box on the right. When I open it does not remember where I placed

Dylan, thank you for the quick response! I know you all have a lot on your plate (and I added more elsewhere!). I have upgraded to 6.0b SR-1. 1. I have not noticed the three cursor issue recently, or at least not paid attention. I will keep watch for it. 2. I have the text overlap happen a lot, perhaps even more now, although that may simply be a perception

i'm pretty sure this has gotten lost and is already forgotten, but I have more details on what seems to be happening particularly on the curser/typing location mismatch. This always seems to happen at the beginning of a line after a hard return or highlighting text and typing over. The typing starts to insert either at the end of the line, or at the

Should future releases of resources be suspended until Faithlife gets Logos 6 functionality to 100%?
Yes, absolutely. No hesitation. I think it would be in everyone's interests to have a stable , reliable engine that just works. Then all those existing resources, datasets and functions
