  • Re: Logos 9 Initial Impressions

@Andrew: Thank you, that was indeed the issue. I appreciate the help. @Mark, I posted about it back when the issue first arose in March of 2019 and received word back from one of the folks at Faithlife that it had been added to an existing case request. However there has been neither further communication nor action on this issue since then. In the

thank you so much! I had not noticed that icon and being able to turn it off is such a relief!

  • HELP! FactBook has taken over!

Can someone please tell me if there is a way to turn OFF the new FactBook? Or maybe at least so it won't pop up or show up on hover/right click, etc.? I used to be able to double click a greek word and have it trigger my lexicon, but now I get FactBook instead. If my mouse stops over a word FactBook "helpfully" pops up and now I can't see the inspired

  • Re: Logos 9 Initial Impressions

I'm at the end of my first workday using L9Mac (iMac also 3 monitor setup). I love the new dark mode, and it was a nice surprise to open to the new look. However I am quite frustrated with the new FactBook. I am constantly unintentionally triggering it trying to highlight or copy and then have to wait to close it (again) because it spikes my processor

  • Re: Is it supposed to be this slow?

Chris, this is essentially a limitation to how all databases work. They only can deal with a certain amount of text data before they start slowing down. The more entries in the database (number of notes in a notebook) or the more the Text data (length of notes) the slower things will run. I have run into the very same problem, only my issue is by the

  • Re: Bugs still NOT fixed in Logos 8.3 & Bug tracker ?

It also means that should this issue still be in the bug tracker as indicated 15 months ago by @Philana R Crouch, and approaching 2 years ago from its insertion into Logos, either this problem has been been given absolute bottom priority or abandoned entirely. I keep posting here in hopes that some day this squeaky wheel might actually get some attention

  • Mega-Marketing

I come here appealing to the Faithlife marketing department to please consider some hint of moderation in the email assault on my inbox. AFTER opting out of the vast majority of email options by Logos and Faithlife, I have received 77 emails just in the month of April alone. While I can appreciate the company's desire to assist my church in this time

  • BUG: Exegetical Guide Grammars

The Exegetical guide no longer works. Its been a little while since I last used it so I can't say precisely when this broke but the section for grammars is non-functional now. Where previously the guide would search for results on the verse/passage specified in the search box in a predetermined collection of Grammars and then would return a list of

Over a year later and many maintenance updates later and still nothing, and no comment. Has this issue been lost over time?

Is there any chance we might get an update on the status of this issue? It has been 10 months and several patches both large and small with no fixes incoming.

  • Re: repeated crashes

Thanks for the responses. I ended up calling support and 3 hours later the person I spoke with confirmed that I had managed to put together a layout that when crossed with a formatting/code problem in the NASB causes a crash.

I'm a late comer to the conversation, and haven't made it through all (currently 5) pages of replies and comments yet. However the response offered by @Fred Chapman on the first page pretty closely sums up my own situation as the pastor of a numerically small congregation. For me, that means that all technology purchases &/or subscriptions are paid

Thanks for the link. I had just performed a clean install on my mc and hadn't turned logging back on so I didn't have log files to upload and haven't had this happen again. Glad to hear it is a known issue and is being addressed.

I have been adding some articles related to my current study into folders in favorites. Using the mouse I will drag & drop favorites into pre-made folders. 3 times now the app has crashed when dragging and dropping. Logos 8.5.0.0026 MacOS 10.14.5 (fresh install on clean drive)

@Michael To my knowledge, the issues with keystrokes that I bring up here changed with the introduction of Logos 8 & the new notes and have not been fixed since then.

David, thank you for taking the time to respond. You remain thus far also the only person apart from Michael now to comment on this issue (now twice) however I am going to have to still disagree with you. This is not simply a matter of updating the wiki. This is a matter of Logos intentionally or unintentionally removing previous long running functionality
