  • Re: Latest Edition of Books

[quote user="Paul McCloud"] Has anyone else run into a problem finding the latest edition of a book? I was looking for An Introduction to the New Testament by Carson, D. A., Moo, Douglas J. • Zondervan 2005. This is the 2nd edition. The latest is the 2nd revised edition published in 2009. I was told that it will not be available in Logos in the

  • Re: An announcement from Lexham Press regarding EEC James

[quote user="williamvarner"]It was not intentional, but it was wrong. I copied into a third document for research and then pasted into my commentary, and sometimes overlooked then crediting the source. No excuse. I was wrong. I apologize to my readers. Logos/Faithlife was right in what they did. I have repaired the problems and a second edition which

  • Re: WTB Biblical Archaeology Review Collection - no longer on Logos

It's been several years since FaithLife has carried BAR. I know this has been discussed in several threads and a number of users have requested it. Hopefully, they bring it back someday. I imagine there are issues with the contract as it is still available in other Bible software programs. I purchased BAR a number of years ago along with Bible Review

  • Suggestion for Memorization Tool

Years ago when memorizing a verse/passage, I was taught to say the reference before and after the verse. This helped me remember where to find the passage. I like the memorization tool in Logos, but I wish the book/chapter and verse was included too.

  • Getting Logos to work offline

I'm not always connected to the Internet, so when I open Logos it used to ask if I wanted to work offline or connect to the Internet. When I selected work "offline", Logos would open to the layout I closed. However, recently, if I'm offline, when Logos opens up it tries to sync and I have a continual red exclamation point in the upper right of my screen

  • Re: Old CDs

I'm sure I don't need them, but I hang on to the CD's anyway. I've got quite a few (approx 100+), but most are in paper sleeves, so they don't take up much room. They're all in one box - a bit bigger than a shoe box.

  • Re: Learning Hebrew and Greek

Something else that I liked about Mounce was the ability to download the audio version of the lessons and listen to them while driving back and forth to work. He also has the vocabulary in audio as well. I was able to go over and over them which helped me learn them. I'm not sure if this is available in Bible Mesh.

  • Re: Learning Hebrew and Greek

I have taken 2 semesters of Greek that used Mounce's resources. I thought they were very helpful. Having them available in Logos was also a plus. I don't have any experience with Bible Mesh, but I heard positive things about them from someone who had taken them. I was told that one difference between the two courses was that Bible Mesh required you

I only need 3 books which would cost 57.97 individually.

  • Citation Question - Biblical Archaeology Society

Biblical Archaeology Society has this statement in their copyright information. "Not to be quoted in any contexts apart from scholarly reviews or research journals without prior permission from The Biblical Archaeology Society." Does "any contexts" mean that I cannot refer to information in their journal in a lecture without their permission or is this

  • Re: Five Solas Series

I feel the same way. I understand Logos not carrying the same resource in two different formats (Logos and Vyrso), yet right now they aren't available in either. Because Logos will pull resources without warning, I will sometimes buy now instead of waiting until I actually need them. These aren't resources I was going to purchase anyway (I'd like them

The link no longer work. I think Faithlife removed the resources for purchase. I did work earlier today.

I usually sort the "my tags" column. That's easier for me. I also have the "my tags" column where I can always see it in my library window.

I just add a tag "To Read" to the book. You can tag a book in the information section of the library window. Just reply if you're not sure how to do this.

  • Re: EEC Colossians & Philemon Error?

If you already own Philemon, then you also have paid for Colossians. The commentary isn't finished yet, but it should download automatically when it is available. Here is a statement from the product's web page. "When you order this volume, Philemon will download today. The commentary on Colossians will download automatically when it is complete." https

I'm looking for search ideas to find resources that address the issue of God's command to kill women and children (e.g. 1 Samuel 15:3). I can search for the passage, but that brings too may results. Thanks.

The update hasn't been available in Logos for several years. I know that this issue has been discussed on the forum previously. I would like to see also BAR back in Logos again.
