  • Re: L4 Mac fails to open

Hi Keep Smiling 4 Jesus, I knew that you would somehow find a way to solve this and your last recommendation did the trick! Curiously I felt that reversing the order might work and that's what I did. I put the layouts.db in the trash first (without emptying the trash), then logged out of my account (at the Mac accounts level), logged back in and then

Hi Keep Smiling 4 Jesus, I always appreciate a tip, even if it means we're only sneaking up on the problem. I tried your last suggestion, so I guess that means I have a new log file and I've compressed the three documents and they are posted here as an archive. After moving the files to the new folder and doing a new start, I tried on two occasions

  • Re: L4 Mac fails to open

Good Morning from Munich (already Saturday here)! I checked in my Resources folder and 364 out of all the 808 resources in that folder are LBXLLS files. Do you think one of them could be the culprit? I have 2 Bibles open (Logos4 files) and two study bibles open (LBXLLS Files). The only unusual thing it has done (and it has not crashed yet) is that it

Hi Keep Smiling 4 Jesus, Thanks for your tip. I tried it, deleting an .LSF data that I could find. In the mean time, Logos did about an hour and a half of indexing (while the program was not running). I did a restart of my MacBook, but the program still will not launch. I'm open to any further tips. greetings from Munich, Jeff

  • Re: iPad offline books error

Since most of my iPad use has been in the vicinity of a WLAN, I only this past weekend discovered that all my books which I downloaded for offline reading were indeed not there. Then I tried it with my iPhone and when I clicked on the "Library" icon down below, I only got a blank white screen. Having books available offline is especially helpful here

Thank you David. Your prompt answer plus the coming fix is exactly what I meant when I said that Logos has motivated programmers who are preparing good things for the next releases! greetings from Munich, Jeff

  • Re: RC Sproul resources missing

Hi Si, Thanks for the tip. When I started L4 back up it was scanning the CD, so I got my hopes up. It ended up still not recognizing the books. But at least I know what to do for the next step, calling customer service. Thanks for your consideration. Jeff

  • Re: when a bug doesn't cause a crash... (Alpha 20)

Tommy, I'll gladly post the logs. I have a question however: When I post a log, the file is called "archive.zip". Is that adequate? Would you prefer if I added either my name or date to the file name? Thanks!

Thanks for posting the bug report. It just started happening on mine too. Attached is the latest archive from my log. Glad I have Logos 4 also running on Parallels! Jeff 53102.Archive.zip

  • mouseover crash

5353.Archive.zip Well this is a new one and I repeated it 3 times. By moving my mouse over a hyperlink in the Reformation Study Bible the program crashes and immediately disappears (no freeze up, just gone). Attached is the log and a screen shot of where the mouseover spot is. Thanks, Jeff

  • Crash when checking off day in Bible Reading Plan

My processor was currently running hot and dominated by VideoBox, which was converting a video to mp4 format when Logos 4 crashed. Logos 4 almost never crashes for me. Attached is the log as per the instructions here in the Forum. Also to note is that my fonts went wiggy in Reformation Study Bible (screenshot shown on a previous post) 44660.Archive

Thanks for the tip. It didn't work... but it's good to know that Logos 4 is in process and some problems just get solved along the way. Jeff

  • Re: 19/19.1 Indexing and Downloading Updates No Longer Works

I experienced the same thing under Alpha 19. I am also running Mac OS X 10.6.3 The download that I'm expecting is the R.C. Sproul Exposition Collection. It already effectively downloaded itself to the Logos 4 that I have running in Windows XP under Parallels on my MacBook, but not with Logos 4 for Mac. I am nonetheless really happy that the Mac version

  • Beta 6 - Popup window won't go away

While I had a resource open called "CTB" (in the tabs above, I don't remember what the resource is called other than this abbreviation), then a pop-up window appeared and would not go away. I had to close the resource CTB for it to disappear. I have included a screenshot and the log files. Other than this I am really pleased with the progress! Jeff

  • Re: Adding resources to Library from CD

I had a similar issue with an RC Sproul Library, that came direct from Baker Publishing. The challenge there was it was only compatible with Libronix 2 (!) for Windows. What normally should work is if you have a Libronix 3 running on Windows, then you should be able to active the software there. The next step is to then choose the "Synchronize Licenses

  • Re: Important Change to Synchronization coming in next Beta for Notes, custom Highlighting styles, Favorites, and some Preferences

Greetings, I haven't posted to the Logos Mac blog for a while simply because I'm busy and happy using the product. I'm running Logos 4.3. What's so wonderful is that Logos for Mac is so comprehensive that I never use the Windows version running Parallels anymore. That also means that my other Windows based Bible programs have gone into retirement. Soooo

Are the videos still lost in space (Workman, etc)? I use Logos 4.5 for Mac Thanks (Any chance of getting them back in QuickTime format, to run outside of Logos)?
