I put my 4 votes in the UserVoice suggestions now. It is only in the 40th place but maybe, one day, we will get it in L4.

  • Re: Linking the Lexham Heb & Gk Interlinears

Anthony, I don't think that it is what David is asking for. Unfortunately we don't have anymore the "Resource Association" feature that is available in L3. With that we could have what David is asking. As far as I know, we have to do exactly what David does. We have to have open both resources and click on its tab when we need to see the same reference

  • Syntax Search again. Any help?

Hello all. A while ago I asked for help on a syntax search for a construction in Ps 75. ( http://community.logos.com/forums/t/19240.aspx ). Now I am back with another construction that is really bugging me. Well, I have already asked this question somewhere but I could not find yet a way to make this search works. There it goes: It is in Ps 75:7-9.

  • Re: Searching later addition in the NT

Thank you very much Rosie!!! I was not aware of this possibility. I will try it out in different Bibles to see if I can get the results I want. Blessings,

  • Re: Searching later addition in the NT

Thank you Mark. That is a very interesting approach. Actually, your example on searching for translator's notes gave me some new ideas for other searches. Now, back to this case, I need now to try your suggestions. I was just waiting for my last search to finish. I searched for all Later Textual Addition in all Bibles. So it took quite a while. And

  • Re: It's time to start developing Logos 5

Dear Bill, I agree with you. I believe all of us have already invested a lot to just "abandon" Logos 4. However, in some features Logos is apparently behind other Bible Softwares, and if I could afford, I would have a second Bible Software, particularly, Accordance. But we have a problem here, Accordance works only on Mac, although there is an emulator

Sorry Philip, I had not understood your suggestion. It is actually an interesting work around. At least for the word "dream" it seem to bring a result close to accurate. Maybe other words would be a little more complicated. Anyway, although not accurate because it starts from the English word, for the word dream apparently it works just fine.

  • Re: Inconsistencies in Andersen-Forbes

Thank you David for such good insights about Hebrew in Logos. Thank you for your good sense of humor despite our lack of a good Hebrew syntax tool in Logos 4. The more I search in Logos 4 (for Hebrew) the more I see that I need another tool. In this case, I need Accordance. Maybe in a couple of month I will be able to buy it. In Logos, I believe, the
Nielsen pay attention to the fact that while Accordance runs on a PC through an emulator you are unable to print or export your results to the PC. So if you don't have a mac Accordance is of limited value for you. Send me an e-mail to my firstname.my lastname at huji.co.il
Dear David, Thank you for allowing me contact

  • Re: Searching later addition in the NT

I believe the most accurate result that I could get was by performing the following search in the NASB95: At least I could verify all the later additions that I am aware of. But this search is not limited to later additions, it retrieves also disputed texts. Anyway, with this result I can go to all the results and find out which texts are claimed to

  • Inconsistencies in Andersen-Forbes

I am exploring Andersen-Forbes text type tagging. I found it very interesting the tips on the wiki page: Extended Tips for Highlighting and Visual Filters ( http://wiki.logos.com/Extended_Tips_for_Highlighting_and_Visual_Filters ). So, after exploring a little bit A-F I found some tagging not very much appropriated. Well, let's go to an example: In

Dear Mr. Forbes, First of all, thank you very much for your explanations and for taking your time to interact with us here. As I wrote in the original post, I was really enjoying using A-F and exploring the text-type tags. Actually, the problem is not to see a text about blessing or curse under the same category. Certainly, by reading the text we can

  • Looking for list of search fields of the Bibles

In a recent post Rosie Perera showed me the "search fieds" to use when doing searches. The image below illustrate what I mean. So, my question is: Is there a list of search fields by resources. I mean, there are a bunch of resources, and each of them with some different search fields. I would like to know if there is a way to figure out in which resources

  • Re: BHS/WIVU Visual Filter section disappeared! What to do?

Thank you very much Tonya. This is really a key issue to us because we extensively use color coding for Hebrew and Greek verbs. This is used also for training of lay people and we happen to be in the middle of a training for pastors as part of Calvin Seminary Continuing Education program. We noticed today that the NIV 1984 got the same problem. So,

  • BHS/WIVU Visual Filter section disappeared! What to do?

Here at Calvin Theological Seminary several students and faculty noticed that the penultimate (or the last) update caused the BHS/WIVU Visual Filter option to disappear. We have the Visual Filter created for this resource. When we updated (I believe last week), the Visual Filter section from the "three circle button" disappeared and the Filter was removed
