• Re: Training to use Logos as a Ministry Leader/ Pastor
So here is my request...Could you respond via comments to all or some of the following questions: 1. How do YOU use Logos in your ministry? (prep for sermons, bible studies, etc.)
Weekly sermon prep, teaching weekly Bible studies, annual study leave (deep dive into several Bible books ), & occasional devotional

  • Re: Who Teaches with Logos Open and Projected

Every week, 6 years, now. On the main part of a full screen layout, in one vertical 1/2 of the screen area I open my favorite bible + linked tabs for all the translations students are using. In this 1/2, I also open another copy of my favorite Bible as the target for all links. On the other vertical half, I open a commentary suitable for the book &

  • Number of New Tabs Keeps Growing

I'm loving the new tabs but find that the number of open tabs keeps creeping up. I'm very thankful for the reminder of the number of open tabs, as I'd have missed it otherwise. Thank you for placing a library button at screen bottom! Historically, that's been what I most had to use the function button to get to. With new tabs, I'm starting to discover
Hey everyone! I've got a decision to make by the end of this week. Would appreciate and welcome your thoughts on which of these sets are worth getting (and which ones should be on the top of my shopping list, i.e. must-have). If you had to choose one of these sets, which would you choose?
I'm a pastor & use commentaries

  • Re: Standard Lesson Commentary

While it isn't a "Presbyterian" resource, I've used it in our church for a few years. Interestingly, after a couple of years of using it, our Bible study members decided they wanted more in-depth materials that go deeper. So this year, they're chosen a single-book commentary for use in Sunday Bible study. I think the Standard Lesson Commentary helped
Thanks for thoughts folks - I'm minded to think it is a good way to keep current features when I'm not especially minded to buy a large book bundle. After a careful look at the bundles there isn't one I'm keen on within my budget;)
In addition, you'd lose the LN Free book every month. Those are permanently added

  • Re: What Tablet - Amazon Kindle?

Ditto other users' comments. I'll add only that I like my late model Kindle Fire 10" tablet for everything but its camera, which IMO isn't very good at all (nowhere near its multi-megapixels potential--mostly blurry pix; I've given up on it). I'm ok with everything else. I do my study leave (deep dive on a Bible book using several Logos commentaries
How to disable Layouts from saving each time I close Logos? I only want Logos to save a layout when I save it. Thank you, Karl
Karl, Try Naming your layout. Logos doesn't save named layouts unless you save it manually. From then on, you can appreciate the auto-backup at close that makes available the last layout
I won't be able to nail both languages down anytime soon and would love to focus on one language for the time being. I love the OT and I want to bring its depth to light but as a preacher Its hard to ignore the NT greek. Which language, in your experience, as been more beneficial in understanding Jesus and the Bible etc

  • Re: PB: Dr. Constable's Expository (Bible Study) Notes

Well, I ran the macro after putting all the PDFs into a single folder, but there were no errors & the resulting files were gibberish. There was no readable info in the Word files or in the resulting PB. I'm wondering what I did wrong? It processed like it was definitely doing something. Was there another macro I was also supposed to have enabled

Wow, Robert! Chrome still doesn't seem to find a button that works. It's visually there, just doesn't act like it's a hot link.If you don't mind sending it directly, I can be reached at yahoo mail (@yahoo.com) with the userid formed by putting my first & last name in order as one word. Thanks for your trouble, either way. Bill Stonebraker.
Mattillo: The attached document has a general purpose macro to convert all PDFs in a folder. Just open the docm and click the button. It needs Word 2013 or later to run. I'm hoping to have a more elaborate macro specific to the Constable files, if you want to wait. https://www.dropbox.com/s/m6gnhwhf1mfv3zd/Convert_PDF_Batch
