It very well might just be me, but there seems to be so much material in the Timeline tool that it's nearly unusable to the average Joe.
You're spot on. It is too messy and an overload of information that cannot be easily curated to be of any good use. I had big hopes for this tool but I think the challenge is that

Halfway through CS251 and I have been THOROUGHLY blessed by it! I feel like I’m hearing good news about my extended church family through their struggles and triumphs. From culture to structure, I feel like my American church history is filling out the empty places and giving another side to the story. He calls out the failures of the American
1. Your approach of developing a goto Layout is important. You can also customize guides within your layout to your own needs and liking.
This was a game-changer for me. After creating custom layouts and I tweaked my guides with commentary and book collections that I use for my study helped me get into study quickly, getting

  • Re: Best software to use Logos to teach online?

I've been experimenting with OBS, though I have yet to do anything live. Zoom is good for conferencing and meetings, but clunky and slow in presentations. We are doing a ton of youth zoom stuff and trying to use media is a pain in the proverbial King James donkey. OBS seems to be a possible solution for me, I'm just trying to see how laggy the software
I have prioritized certain sets/volumes so that they appear in the top of my searches. ( https://wiki.logos.com/Prioritizing )
Actually - I would say David's advice on Prioritizing is probably the first step to getting what you want - I often forget that a lot of people don't know about prioritization or even know

  • Re: Sorting Commentaries

Hey Steve! One way to make it be so would be to create a commentary collection of your favorites books or favorite commentary series. If you use guides, then you can add the commentary collection to that guide and your favorites that you selected will show up! This Collections Tutorial *may* help: https://faithlifetv.com/media/306916 , if not, reach

  • Re: searching for plagues

It may be good to search for the names of the plagues (IE "Antonine Plague" or "Black Death") or by whatever disease was creating havoc at the time "smallpox, bubonic, etc.) I would at least start there and that would possibly give you results of resources that mention them. I am not particularly good at creating logos search formulae, but would suspect

  • Re: How is your church adapting for COVID-19?

We have several thousand that gather each week at our church, so we are decentralizing on campus. Rooms with no more than 250 persons in them and the service will be live in our main sanctuary and live-streamed to the extension rooms. It displaces our youth service, but we will have that in another room to make way for adult services. We are making
You might be surprised by what might turn out to be useful!
This is a true statement. Logos gave me access to resources I had never known existed and, fueled by a curious mind, allowed me to grow into my library. Resources that were at first over my head became some of my favorites. Keep an open mind and ask lots
but still need further work to improve the formatting. We do already have a case for this problem, and will be fixing it in due course. The Family Life website seems to have this mentioned in their show notes of a podcast (released today, Jan 8, 2020). I have not listened to it... but maybe I will now to see what is mentioned. If it's freely available, might be helpful to the parents in my church! https://www.familylife.com/podcast/familylife-today/ Screenshot from the site...
