Looks like there is an existing proposal in UserVoice: Integrate Speed Reading via Spritz or Another RSVP Tool Rapid Serial Visual Presentation allows for speed reading by presenting a single word at a time and allowing users to adjust the rate at which words are shown (in my own experience, more than doubling reading speed ). http://spritzinc.com has

I would love to see a speed reading feature similar to Amazon Fire's "Word Runner". This is a great tool and is really effective.

Isn't there a way to download the Android app directly from Faithlife and sideload it on the Fire?

It may also help if you pause indexing while you are using the program. Indexing is very CPU intensive.

I figured out a way to do it in Windows using Color Filters and Magnifier screens. All is good.
-
That is too bad. I use that option all the time in my iPad and in Chrome using an extension. Much better for my eyesight.

There does not seem to be an easy way to reverse the screen in Logos for the PC. I looked under "resource panel background" and did not see that option. Am I missing something?

Again, I hope that Bob, Dan and the rest of the Logos team read this thread. There is some good, actionable, feedback here.

The Logos program is too big and bloated.
Could you give some examples of what you consider to be "bloat"?
1. The fact that I have to load gigabytes worth of resources to be able to use the program. 2. The length of time it takes to boot the program and begin working. It is sometimes

I believe that Logos has multiple obstacles to overcome to create more sales and to expand their user base: 1. The Logos program is too big and bloated. I am writing this on my Asus portable laptop with a low-end Celeron processor and a 5400 RPM drive. I can't load Logos on this machine because it is slow and takes forever to index. With Logos, I have

I hope that the Faithlife leadership team and marketing folks are reading this.

Lower prices? Better libraries and bundles? More frequent sales? Just curious.
Mr. Childs apparently none of us are I think a massive overhaul and simplification of the interface and gearing it toward beginners and intermediate users (instead of original language scholars) is more in order. Logos developers - God bless them all sincerely - seem to have their head in the clouds and are not thinking revamp

What is so strange is that a company that specializes in search has such a poor search engine on their website, making it hard for people to find and buy the books that they are looking for.

Good Commentaries! Fee and Keener are first class scholars!
-
I think this problem is endemic to the commentary genre, as Stanley Porter states. Even though "there is nothing new under the sun", the publishers want more and more commentaries. There is really not much new scholarship (especially from conservative theologians). The Word of God hasn't changed, so why should the interpretations change (unless there

Good article on plagiarism. Very informative! http://contently.net/2016/02/16/resources/flowchart-will-save-plagiarizing/

After the Peter O'Brien/Eerdman's incident in August, it seems that a lot of publishers will be reviewing their catalogs for plagiarism. I am not sure what all the fuss is about anyway. You do have the option not to connect to the Internet and also not use prayer list and notes.
