  • Re: Good News! All French Lovers

[quote user="fgh"] Welcome to the forums. Sorry, I'm nowhere near as enthusiastic as you are. Far too Evangelical for my taste. Plus, if I'm going to buy French books, it won't be translations from English. What I want is: Traduction oecuménique de la Bible (TOB) Bible de Jérusalem Thérèse de Lisieux : Œvres complètes Important Catholic books that

https://www.logos.com/product/8513/e-a-sophocles-collection Ergatees drums fingers on table! Come on, guys and gals, let's push this through. Save 80%, that's sounds good. I told my wife that if I don't spend money, I can't save money. Now I want to let her know I just saved 80% on a purchase so she can think I'm really a sage. Push, push, push, E.

  • Re: Advice: Modern Greek or Latin?

Dear Carlin, Wise decision. Let me add this thought. In my reading of theology, both East and West, I find many Latin words, phrases and in the older books it is taken for granted that the reader is "educated." I mean to say that in the "olden days" people studied Latin like folks are taking Spanish today or English in other countries. Reading Latin

Hey, this lady would make a great next door neighbor. Could I please borrow an hour with your version of Logos, Ma'am? I'm not upgrading, I can't afford to, but don't need to. I'll stick with my gold. The market price of gold is going up every day. At least it sounds good.... Anyhow, I have a few items still on order: sheesh, does take them time. I

  • Re: Who may be interested in The Rudder?

Thanks for calling our attention to this book. It has been hard to obtain in the past and my copy was obtained by a friend who got it in Edinburgh, and since then I gave it to a monastery who needed it more than I. So now, happily, I can have another copy in Logos which will make it handy to consult when or if the need should arise. Ergatees on board

Well, I did decide to cancel a few orders to free up some money. I really didn't need the older edition of the ISBE because I have the new one in print. I am not decided whether to update the engine or stay with Logos4. It works for me, so why fix something that works.

Dear Room4more, That was a most interesting comment you shared by those with whom you spoke. I am sure a knowledgeable Christian has pointed out to them the logical conclusion of the rendering "a god" in John 1:1 in the NWT Bible. I know this is not the place for such discussions but personally I have found that these people don't always tell all they

Oops! Nestle or N27 has the same Greek word order as the Byzantine Majority text. What a surprise. Yep, I looked at the NKJV with the interlinear and the ESV interlinear and they did not follow the same word order as the Byzantine text so I surmised they were following the Nestle text. SO, lesson learned! I beg your pardon for not checking that before

Whoa... lol I see that nasty "Mailer-daemon..." Okay, okay, I have created another email account so I can mail out the article I have on my computer in pdf format which is a full discussion of John 1:1 and about which I told you and Steve Adams . If you wish to get it write to ezjwpubs at cfl.rr.com and let me know and I'll be happy to mail it to you

Bowing to George and Removing tongue stuck in cheek... At least no one surmised that I was asking if J Chrysostom was from the Dominican Republic. Although he lived long before the great Order of Preachers (o.p.), maybe they should have given him an honorary membership. In any case, the set will make interesting reading. St. John Chrysostom's biography

  • Logos 4.5 Highlighting

Fortunately I haven't had any problems with Logos 4 in a long time. The update went without any problems so far as I can see. I like the new highlighting feature very much and it is one I have wanted, but never suggested. That is... I can now have shortcuts for underlining and highlight. I like to use the red pencil for underlining and now use the shortcut

  • Keyboard - Android on Nook Color SD card

I was going to comment in one of the forums when I was connected by wi-fi with my Nook Color but I did not see a keyboard come up in order to do so. This form did appear. So now writing this as a question. Has anyone found that the keyboard can not be used in the Forum if one is using a Nook Color? Thanks! E.
