  • Re: Any comments on Filología Neotestamentaria?

I ordered this item upon your recommendation. I believe that we should become as familiar as possible with a language in its historical aspects. A broad knowledge of the etymology and history of words is often helpful to avoid the pitfalls of JWs and possibly others who will give particular interpretations based upon limiting a word to the meaning they

  • Community Pricing. A red-line indicator.

I have cancelled orders because of the time it tookt for a collection or product to become available and I have also come back at a later date and opted in again when I saw something I wanted soon to come out. Today, I checked on several items in community pricing or pre-pubs to see where they stood in regards to a release date. The one on the NT Philologia

  • noting corrections in iPad

I am reading History of the Reformation in the time of John Calvin. I am in vol. 6. I mostly read this series on my iPad and in this volume I see many errors but due to using the iPad I cannot tell Logos so they will be corrected. There seems to be more errors in this volume than in some of the others I have read. Any help here? ergatees

  • Re: Logos 5 and OpenOffice?

Hello, I have been using OpenOffice for several years and now using v.4. It works well. I use the copy paste feature all the time with Greek and English fonts. Use the "Special Paste" feature for pasting the Greek into your document. Paste it as text. Do not use the RFT choice. This I have learned by experience and this will print out fine. Hope this

Here is the link for the Spanish Equivalent to an KJV or NKJV. I just had a moment to go find it. $20. As I said, I liked the few passages which I searched on. Ergatees

Okay, Mike. I'll make my comments they're at the proper place in the forum. I was mostly concerned with the growing program which would take away space on my C Dr. on my laptop. I'm dictating this message on my iPad new version and the microphone doesn't always seem to get it right and we have a storm outside. Thanks for the direction and the note to

  • Re: Blurb for Louis Segond Bible

Dear NB, I don't mean to argue, but "classic equivalent" as stated in the blurb doesn't fit, if the two bibles have different manuscript sources; speaking primarily of the New Testament. A French "equivalent" to the KJV would be the Ostervald Bible or the David Martin edition. These two stick to the traditional TR which dominated the European translations

Dominick, I am grateful to you for this information and your explanation because I am a longtime purchaser of Galaxie products (journals) although I have not been visiting their site for a long time. Logos has so much going that it is obvious that it will not receive the attention that Galaxie gave their product which was a main draw for Galaxie. Yours

  • Re: Preface completely missing from Byzantine Textform 2005

Hi, Red, I see by your other comments that you now have the edition with the morphology and the Preface. What I would like to see available in the Byzantine edition is not only give the morphology but the meaning of the Greek word when I do a mouse over. It is an extra pain to either open the Nestle text or a right mouse click to look the word up. Like

  • Blurb for Louis Segond Bible

On Biblia dot com it tells us that the Louis Segond Bible is the equivalent in French to the KJV. Can't be true. I know it isn't and give an example here which shows that this is definitely not the KJV text which reads "God manifest in the flesh" and the French Segond says: "the mystery of piety". I have copied it and pasted it in here. 16 Et, sans

  • Church Father, J. Chrysostom

I just bid on the new collection for St. John Chrysostom. The alert item mentioned the churches which considered him to be a saint but said nothing of the Roman Catholic Church. Of course, he is a major saint in that church unless I am losing my memory. Ergatees
