• Re: Lost personalization after reinstall

I finally got everything back. My hard drive was apparently going bad. When it finally crashed completely, I was forced to replace it with a new one and reinstall everything. After Logos 4 got reinstalled it downloaded all my resources, then indexed and after about a day of synchronization, all my personalization is back! I'm happy to see it work well

Well, it's been over 24 hours now and still nothing has shown up. I may have to call Tech Support.

  • Lost personalization after reinstall

Because of some problems with Logos 4, I found it necessary to uninstall and reinstall the program on the same machine. The parts that were broken seem to be fixed now. The only problem is that my data that should be synchronized did not come back. Although I seem to have all the books in my library, none of My Tags or the Ratings, etc. is there. I
Have you synced your licenses in LDLS3? Tools->Library Management->Synchronize Licenses That should get your LDLS3 synced with the server account
Okay, syncing did it. I should have thought of that. Thanks Rick!
When it happens, the unlock(s) will be automatic (you don't have to do it yourself). Once they're unlocked to your account, download should happen automatically. I wanted those looking for these to be aware they could be coming. Here are approximate file sizes to expect:
Obviously it is only automatic for Logos 4

  • CRASH of Indexer

I have been having trouble with crashing of my indexer. After reading other posts, I tried deleting my index files, but that didn't help. I also tried entering the command "rebuild index", but it still continues to crash. I am using Windows 7. I have attached log files below. 6011.Logos4.log 8475.Logos4Indexer.log 2318.Logos4IndexerCrash.txt

  • Re: how to type holem-waw

Thank you all very much. Yes, Rosie, I was indeed referring to inputing text in Word or other programs. My problem was the order of typing. I was typing the holem first and had not tried reversing the order. That definitely makes a difference in how it looks, at least in some fonts. Thank you all for your help. Scott

  • how to type holem-waw

I have a question about the best way to use the Logos Biblical Hebrew Keyboard to produce a holem-waw. I know that holem is shift-o and that waw can be produced by typing either "v" or "w". However the two marks look like they have too much space between them. When I see other Hebrew text on my computer that someone else typed, it looks like there might

Yes, Victor, you can do a Syntax Search that will show you all instances. I think you need to have the OpenText.org syntactical Bible in order to do this search. Here are the steps to follow: Under search menu, click on Syntax Search. Click Add: Clause Add: Clause Component On the right hand side, under clause category, click Addressee Add: Word Group
I don't see it.
I didn't see it at first either. You have to browse each individual forum separately and then click "Mark all read" for each forum when you are done with it. It is located on the upper right from the list of topics.

  • Re: Rich client vs. web applications for Bible study

Although I see the trend as moving more and more to cloud computing, and I am doing more of it than I used to, I really like the rich-client approach. For something as important to me as my Bible study software, I want it on my own computer. I teach theology in Ecuador, South America. When I am at home I have internet access that is really good, but

But I'm not sure how that would work on the OT with the resources I have. One probably needs a special resource

Let me give this a try. If this works they are in a zipped file. You just need to put them in the folder called BibleReadingPlans 5008.Chronological Plans.zip

Some Bible reading plans were posted in the newsgroup a while back. I have never used them, but they are on my hard drive. I would attach them to this post, but I don't see how to do that. Can anyone give me some direction?
