  • Logos 4 Installer requires user with Administrative rights?

Hi all, I didn't see this mentioned anywhere so I just wanted to share what I'm seeing myself. The Logos4 set up starts by downloading what it refers to as a "web script" and then Win7 prompts me for admin permission followed immediately by a message stating "Setup was unable to download a required file." The routine seems to proceed following this

  • Re: Is Logos experiencing problems?

Tyler, I'm having the same problems at the moment and came here looking to see if it was just me or if multiple people were experiencing it. That said, our issue is separate from Rich Leino's, given that his issue occurred last year. I suspect the Logos servers are down for the moment and it's best for us just to work offline until it is resolved.

  • Re: Bug: L4 Win 7 Unable to login on sign in screen

Does anyone know the procedures for offline synchronization between computers when the authentication servers go down? I understand these things happen, but it would sure be nice to be able to sync my updates on one PC (i.e. notes, passage lists, etc.) to another.

  • Hebrew Definitions Not Displaying

I have Logos 5 silver edition and upon hovering my mouse over the Hebrew words (in my BHS Hebrew Bible), I can see the proper parsing of each word in the status bar area, but the definitions appear to be missing now. I know I did not have this issue previously and I do not have the same issue with the Greek. Anyone here have any idea what could be wrong

I don't know.[/quote] This type of request was being made during the Logos 4 beta I think it would be great all

Thanks Dave. I'll have to take a look when I return home later this week and upload it if I find it. Fortunately, the installation was successful.

  • Visual C++ Runtime Library Error Upon Installation

Hello everyone, I was able to install Logos4 onto two separate Win7 machines but when trying to install on a WinXP (SP3) machine, I get a run-time error stating: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." I've tried to delete the Logos4 folder located

Thanks guys. For some reason, I had thought I did previously get English glosses but upon reading your responses, maybe not. It's been a little while since I was studying Hebrew and am now getting back into it. Denise, thanks for the tip on BHS SESB 2.0... perhaps I'll need to add that package.

  • Re: Logos 5 is out? They never finished Logos 4 yet!

As someone with over a decade of experience in the field of information technology, it is simply not a sustainable business model to continue supporting old product versions beyond a few years, especially after a newer version has been released. The fact that Libronix 3 used to have consistent issues with each new IE release, shows the software foundation

  • Re: Hebrew Scholars

There's no clear indication from what I can see of the Hebrew word itself. The "he" that you refer to is not a standalone word in Hebrew, it is instead implied from the form of the verb "delights." The Hebrew system provides unique forms of each given verb depending upon the subject (e.g. 1st person, 2nd person, 3rd person, singular, plural, masculine

  • Re: Best one volume commentary and devotional reading book?

I would strongly recommend either the Bible Knowledge Commentary or the ESV Study Bible (or the ESV Study Bible Notes if you already have the ESV Bible). The BKC is actually a two volume commentary, but it is stored in Logos as one. Due to its larger size, It is quite rich for a single commentary. The ESV Study Bible is another great resource and additionally
