• Re: Question re: Friberg & Aland - Analytical Greek New Testament

OK. This does make sense after all. It just didn't look like the picture in the intro so ... Thanks Rick.
The "Interesting Words" Passage Guide section does this; see https://wiki.logos.com/Interesting_Words for more details.
Agreed, the issue though is that this is not in a numeric form, but in (nifty) graphics and is not easily navigable.

Agreed. The love of Messiah constrains me. I was instructed to go the the Feedback Page and to post the question there. When I get a response, I will post it here - so that no one has to go through life with unaddressed curiosities.
Ron, don't you think that after all this time without a definite answer, it would be more effective to direct your question to Faithlife? Call or send them an email or use the chat button on the product page and see where that leads. Or have you tried that already?
um, no; haven't tried that. Initially, I poked around
no they can't be deleted. They are "virtual" not real collections.
This is one of my few issues with a great tool. I wish we could hide some of these unwanted, auto-generated collections. They can remain unchecked which is an important plus. I have created a lot of Collections for my use - when auto-generated collections

  • Re: What are your Favorite (favourite:) demo features?

Virgil: SineNomine: great For me, I usually consider CLIPPINGS alongside of NOTES as far as feature comparison goes. And the one benefit that Clippings has over Notes is the tagging. Everything else can be done in Notes (I think). I almost always use Notes because you can compartmentalize everything into collapsible topics/ headings. In Clippings, what

Hi James, If you click on the "Logos Tutorial Videos" link at the bottom of Mark's post, it will take you to a page where you can click on CLIPPINGS to see a helpful video.
I suppose you know that you can do something very similar (not expanding by "check boxes") via the concordance tool? You simply redefine the reference range while keeping the results sorted by count.
There are several "problems" with this. 1] it takes TOO long 2] One would have to have each pericope entered in to

word frequency analysis
Ron, do you mean simple word counts, or something graphical? • New idea: Word Frequency by (expandable / contractible) text units

Wouldn't it be great to be able to run a quick word frequency analysis (call it, F.A. for now) on a particular pericope? and then to expand that F.A. to include the surrounding pericopes? - might pick up something that would otherwise have been missed. And what about being able to look at the larger text units (as they comprise various divisions of

  • What are your Favorite (favourite:) demo features?

When you are showing Logos to someone, perhaps for the first time, you don't want to overwhelm them. But what are the first (and in your mind the most important) features in the program that will be most helpful [think:people in ministry]? What are your Go-To features when you are bragging (in a humble sort of way) about Logos? I have: 1] sent them

  • Pop-ups in Syntax Graphs [LSGNT:SA]

Don't know when things shifted, but I remember if you hovered the mouse over a Tag [like App. Clause ] sometimes the little pop-up window would get stuck for a while before it disappeared. Now, it disappears too quickly - before you can read it. There may be a work around that I can't figure out yet, but I would like to suggest that if you hover the

Thanks for this Mark. As for tagging, based upon past performance, I have faith that these will [quickly or eventually] be worked in so as to allow us to fully realize the benefits of the purchase price. BTW - TDNT is only 10 volumes while the TDOT is 15.

Question: The Social-Science Commentary These volumes in the Social-Science Commentary series (6 vols.) present a pioneering alternative commentary genre that offers a contextual approach to the study of the New Testament, thoroughly grounded in the original audience’s first-century cultural setting. Will the information in these commentaries show up

  • SUGGESTION: Passage Guide Outlines

I do appreciate the Outlines section of the Passage Guide. It can be helpful ... at times. 1] Currently, it seems to rank BOOK outlines ahead of CHAPTER outlines though. When I am studying a book, this is helpful; when studying a specific pericope, I would rather see outlines of that chapter. 2] There are outlines embedded in Academic Commentaries that

  • [RESOLVED] BUG: Logos 6.4.0.15 won't open

I cannot get Logos to open. The program suddenly crashed when I closed u and moved my laptop to a new location. I have rebooted / did a cold boot by having my Mac do a force quit - but nothing is working. I think this is a Beta. I signed up for it recently. Any help?
