  • Re: Time for Wednesday Night Bible Study...

Nah, nothing you said Esther. Well obviously, what I've been doing will not be for everybody, but if you have a large screen tv available to use you can somewhat sanctify it now. I teach a weekly study at my home and as an experiment started using my laptop connected to my wall mounted large screen tv (52" or maybe 55") via an HDMI cable. I created

  • Re: Writings of Robert *** Wilson

I understand what's going on, but he was known by and wrote using all three names. Anyone trying to google who he was by looking for a truncated version of his name, like Robert Wilson, or even Robert D. Wilson is going to have a hard time getting good hits unless they know his book titles. I don't know how it could be implemented, but I think there

  • Writings of Robert *** Wilson

I'd like to see some of the writings of Robert Dick Wilson in Logos. Specifically, Studies in the Book of Daniel A Scientific Investigation of the Old Testament Edit note: Wow. His middle name was censored by the forum software.

"L4 has been the biggest disappointment yet" Being such a phony is a burden. Pray for me. Also regarding a temporary solution to your spelling issues consider my suggestion about using a word processor. Dove, Larry

Hi MarCya, Maybe my expectations are lower than yours, but Logos has met and even exceeded mine on many levels. I don't expect perfection in people, or in programs made by people, but I think credit should be given when it is due. Seriously; thirteen years of disappointments? Your remarks are so striking to me because as I was finishing up a study last

I'm in. Payment option # 5. I read the preview and liked it. I'll eat a few less cheese burgers over the next three years to help defray the costs. Larry

Select the customize panel on the bottom left of the Home Page. It allows you to drag the features into your preferred order.

  • Re: Release Notes and Updated Resource Info on Home Page -Thanks

Thank you to the people behind the product at Logos for these and the other goodies. The "Release Notes" and the "Updated Resources" were just the first things I noticed. They are very much appreciated. I'll be poking around some more. Now get back to work. Larry

Ta Da!!! Thanks Graham, George, and Rosie. Rosie's link got it done. The process doesn't seem very intuitive to me, but then everyone else seems to have done it without a struggle. Anyway, the pic I put up for an avatar is of my niece's 3 year old son who just happened to vaguely resemble Harry Potter that day. I love the little guy. Thanks to each

  • Avatars

Are there guidelines or specs for avatars on the forums? I finally decided to add an avatar. I uploaded and saved a picture from my hard drive which shows up in my profile, but never shows up in the forums. When I go back to the profile it's showing at the location where I uploaded it, but everywhere else it's the generic default icon. I did a search

OK. Why is that post fallacious? I'm still debating which direction to go with a phone that would work best with Logos and would appreciate some clarification if possible. Care to shed some light?

  • Re: N. T. Wright Interview: Bible Study, Original Languages, Favorite Books, and More

"The best way to talk about N T Wright is to let him speak for himself" Different strokes for different folks. I watched the Wright video and was far more impressed with it than I was with the "Farewell to the Rapture" article/excerpt above. Like some others here I also got choked up, but no doubt in a different sense. Since he doesn't mince words,

  • Re: Pre Pub.....

I just recently noticed the "Quick Buy" option. I hope that's because it's a new option rather than because I'm not very observant. I suppose it means you are charged immediately whereas with "Pre-Order" you pay when it ships. Or, does it mean you can skip the development phase and just get it now.

  • Re: Can Logos Maps Overlay the Modern World with the Ancient World?

I would like to see this capability in Logos. I'm continually flipping digital, paper, and mental maps to see the relationship between ancient peoples/events and modern geography. A quick means of comparison between the ancient and modern, such as an overlay showing borders would be a useful study and teaching tool. I am not aware of any such capability

  • Bug? Bible word study only gives Erasmian pronunciation

I have Greek pronunciation set up for modern Greek and in every instance that I've noticed, it works as expected. But when I use the "pronounce word tool" (the speaker) in the Bible Word Study it only gives the Erasmian pronunciation. I can have the Bible Word Study side by side with the Pronunciation Tool (accessible from the Tool menu) and for the

Rosie, Thanks for responding to my jumbled question. I must say, you have the touch. While trying to duplicate my problem in order to clarify my question for you, the program out of sheer spite started working as expected. Since, I am now able to do repeatedly what I was repeatedly unable to do previously, my problem has proven to be operator error
