Is there any new news regarding HALOT or Jouon's Hebrew Grammar for iPhone? Are there any negotiations happening, or will it not happen at all? Thanks.

  • Hebrew texts for iPhone? HALOT and Jouon Muraoka grammar?

Dear Logos, I've been very pleased to have BDAG on my iDevice, but I wanted to ask about 2 Hebrew texts. Will HALOT be available on the app for Logos? Will Jouon Muraoka Hebrew grammar be available on the iPhone app for Logos? I would say that these 2 texts are amount the most important for Hebrew studies, and yet they are unavailable? Please consider

  • Re: Notes: What's the point?

Richard said it well. Using a 3rd party word processor seems to be best, in my opinion. You get much greater control over text formatting, cross platform usage (with Word, and others), better backup options, and various print options. I understand that it would be nice to have personal notes scroll with your preferred Bible, but I think that benefit

  • Re: Latest 40mb update

Thank you, Thomas! I have a few other posts that have not been responded to, but you have responded, and done so thoroughly! Don't worry, I know the Logos staff is hard at work producing/refining this excellent software. God bless you!

Agreed. I've turned off auto updates and internet connectivity due to this issue. I want to know what is being downloaded on my computer, so now I'll wait to read forums on possible problems... like the last auto update that caused a continuous crash in L4M (would not start up), and which deleted all of my layouts (lost much time re-creating these when

  • another odd hebrew/HALOT behavior . . .

Dear Logos, I wanted to ask if you could set priority to verb entries that come up after double clicking on a Hebrew word in BHS. I posted this before for the Logos 4 for PC, and they fixed it with 4.1. Can you do the same for the next update for L4 for Mac? "I love the ease of being able to double click on a Hebrew word, say a verb with a pronominal

  • Odd behavior for Hebrew searches...

Dear Logos, Today, I noticed that if I search for Daniel 4:20 in HALOT Volume 5-Aramaic, the search results show Daniel 4:17 instead of Daniel 4:20. This seems to be happening because the text references for the English and Hebrew text (BHS) are different by 3 verses in many areas. So, maybe the search is searching according to the ESV interlinear,

  • prioritize what lemma is opened when word is double clicked

Hello, Logos team. I've noticed that with 4.0a SR-1 (4.10.4.6104), that double-clicking on a verb with pronominal suffix does not open the prioritized lemma in HALOT. The lemma opened is the suffix first instead of the verb - it ought to be the other way around. For example, take the word towards the end of Daniel 2:26 (preposition + verb + suffix)

  • Re: Logos app on iPod Touch not working at all

Thanks, John! So, I suppose this is one of the downsides of a server based system.

Also, I tried changing my password at logos.com...but it did not help the situation at all. No books, no library.

  • Logos app on iPod Touch not working at all

Dear Logos, This morning, I could not access my library in the Logos app on an iPod Touch. I tried to sign in multiple times, but no effect. I deleted the app and reinstalled, but nothing. An error message now pops up saying, "Error loading book Logos could not load the specific book." Last night I was able to access everything in my library; now, nothing

  • Re: Gold ...or... SR1 Beta?

Well...here is my vote again - I am extremely happy that you skipped printing for a little while to work on those "other" features (looking forward to sentence diagramming, scrolling optimization, improvements to syntax search, etc.). I'll be glad when printing comes, but I just don't use it much (actually, never). Copy and paste is much easier to utilize

  • Re: Gold ...or... SR1 Beta?

I don't need printing so much - copy and paste is fine. I'm also thankful for the beta release...thanks guys. Before I couldn't change any layouts, or quit L4 without having to force quit. I am experiencing some "instability" with this beta, but these new issues seem to be better than what I had before. Thanks again devel. team (I'll try to get some

How great is an update! 4.1 beta has fixed the problem I was having with double-clicking.

Okay. If I double click AFAT - עזק comes up! If I double click what is labeled BHS/WIVU - the pronominal suffix comes up! Logos...any ideas?

  • Re: Halot - behavior when double clicking on a word

Yep...if I double click on BHS/WIVU, the pronominal suffix entry in HALOT opens. I just bought these resources (Logos base package with additional modules) within the last couple of weeks. BHS/WIVU matches yours. The related sources thing...I guess I was hoping to have a way to 1) double click on a Hebrew word and have the verb come up (hopefully this

  • Re: passage guide: word by word - # of hits seems inaccurage? maybe, maybe not?

Wow...I read your report in the beta forum - great work! I did searches with BHS/WIVU, and then with Anderson-Forbes. WIVU = 25 results; AFAT = 17 for all verbal forms (either verbs or participles (non-verbal participles)); 8 for "non" verbal forms (pure noun participles). The AFAT search also showed that the 17 results (lemma 1חצב) are across 16 verses

  • Re: Halot - behavior when double clicking on a word

How odd. I'm double clicking on the word within BHS/WIVU. What is happening for you, with HALOT opening עזק is what I would hope for. What do you mean by 'standard' BHS? Also, is there a way to jump down to related references after double clicking on a Hebrew word (I double click, and verb comes up in HALOT, but I would love an easier way to find the
