Mark I saw that in your Reformed Collection was Brakel's "The Christian's reasonable service". I didn't find it on the Logos website? Where did you found it? Thanks for answering! Hans

  • Greek read aloud not working

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but pressing Ctr-R (read aloud) doesn't produce any sound in the Greek Text. Only a small red circle is visible for some time.. Pressing Ctr-R in an english Bible version works.very well I have the Greek Audio Bible. In a previous version it worked well! I work with Beta 7. Beta 6 had the same problem. Hans van den

Bradley Thanks for answering. My selection of another font ( "Tahoma 12') a couple of weeks ago in "General Settings" was indeed the cause of the problem. I thought is was a bug! Thanks for answering qo quickly. I am very content about Logos 4, esp. the print/export function is magnificent. The folk of Logos is doing a good job! Hans

  • Dutch Statenvertaling not seen as bible

I don't know why this is, but of all the Dutch Bibles only the well renown Statenvertaling (svv) is not seen as a Bible. I am not able to search this resource by "Bible Search" etc, nor it is listed in the dropdown list of "Choose preferred Bible". Is there a solution for this problem? I use this translation very often! I really enjoy Logos 4. It really

My answer is quite late. I wasn't able to answer earlier. Indeed I'm able to open my SVV in my library and to type any reference. I'm also able to use SVV in my Copy Bible Verses box. But strange enough I' m not able to search in the bible or to include SVV in Text Comparison. Hans vdH

Richard, thank you very much. The first method worked. It was indeed a matter of indexing. A relatively simple solution, but of great importance to me! Thanks again Hans vd Herik

  • No New Testament?

Today I met a strange behaviour. I used the Dutch translation NBV. When trying to type 2 Cor. 9 in the reference box and clicking Enter, nothing happened. Typing of any new testament reference didn't produce anything. It was only possible to go manually to 1 Cor 9 (via table of contents). However, even then in the reference box appeared: "Malachi 3

Rebooting wasn't the problem. The problem disappeared after unselecting my notes on Ezekiel The problem came back after reselecting my notes. Such behavior I didn't know earlier. I have not changed my Ezekiel notes since the update! Hans

  • Some morphological/syntactical help needed

I try to search for "hand of YHWH" and the preposition 'al'. I want to search all the instances where "the hand of the Lord' [came/was/etc.] over [somebody]. In de days of Logos 3 I made a visual query for that. But in Logos 4 I don't know how to search for it. I tried the following Morphological search but the results are poor (see below) lemma:עַל

Dave Thanks for the answer! But I have a problem. How did you make that Syntax Search. I tried to reproduce it, but I failed. See screenshot Is there some additional information about that? I viewed the videos concerning Syntax Search, but it remains very difficult for me to make a Syntax Query.

  • Re: recent Dutch Bible translations please?

I had some contacts last week with the editors of the Herziene Statenvertaling. They are willing to publish it in Logos and are seriously looking for ways to get that done. I also wrote about it to the Nederlands BijbelGenootschap, but they didn't give any response. I also would like to have the Naardense Bijbel . Perhaps publishing can also be asked

Simon, Thanks! I eagerly look forward to the next release. For those interested in HSV: the person in charge of digital publishing of the HSV wrote to me in January 2012: 'De verschijning van de HSV in Logos 4 is in gang gezet.' I can give no more information, but I hope that quote gives you some hope! Hans

  • Re: 4.5 Beta 10 (v4.50.0.1654) available

Thanks for the new beta. Installation was ok. Will there in the future be a solution for the font size problem which I reported for beta 6 and 8? All my notes are now in font size 14. I want to bring them back to 12. The reason: in beta 6 it was possible to change the default note size and unfortunately I changed the size in 14 pt. Every time I'm now
