  • Re: Tablets: Apple or Android?

I recently purchased an Ipad2(and very pleased with my purchase) after being on the fence between the different tabs. For me it came down to what I wanted now compared to whats coming later. For me, I wanted the functionality now of the iOS logos app. I applaud logos for supporting android but I was not willing to wait for functionality which was now

Many have given you excellent advice, there isnt much more I can provide other than personal perspective. It wasn't to long ago I was trying to make the same decisions about if I really wanted to make the leap to logos. I had been considering it for over a year and couldnt pull the trigger because of the cost. I decided as a Pastor the best leap point

  • Sermon.logos.com not scrolling on ipad

I was checking out all of logos sites on the safari browser of my iPad and I ventured to sermon.logos.com and was looking through some sermons and illustrations but the browser would not scroll down to the bottom of messages. Whatever was pulled upon the screen space was all that coud be read. Is this a known problem? Are there any other browsers in

I too took the plunge recently and a got an iPad 2. I can honestly say that I have been really impressed with the functionality of tablets. I am sorry to hear about your loss, but rejoice at the hope we have all been given. Funeral's for a Christian are truly a mysterious and wonderful thing. Most times when I do a funeral for family or church members, my heart is truly heavy over the great loss and grief the family is experiencing. But when the funeral come, the Lord really turns my sorrow

The Lord has blessed me more than i deserve, I find the more i grow in him, the more i am contented with what i have. Although Logos makes it hard. And i apologize once again to you for not being more thorough in my understanding of what you said. I find thats why i lurk on the forums it's so easy to read what you want into what someone else says; lurking

Post deleted i re-read the thread and the post that were written and i didnt read the above in context - so i apologize to denise barnhart when she clarified what she said. This post originally affirmed my priorities as the pastor of Enon Baptist Church. It's amazing what we can make things say out of context or to what end our false conclusion will

  • Encouragement Unto all Believers!

I have been blessed in the recent weeks to be studying and preaching through 1 John 2 (which Logos has aided greatly to the depth of study), and more specifically verses 15-29. Specifically studying the "last times/hours" and the rise of the spirit of Antichrist specifically in regards to apostasy, false teacher/teaching and the response of true believers

I wish and hope they will release the EEC in individual volumes. Being the Pastor of a small church I just can't make the monetary commitment for 1 volume now, especially with 2 small children we are sending to Christian school. I wish i was further along in life where i could jump all over this, because I love the idea of these commentaries, with their

  • Re: Number of Protestant denominations

I agree, among Independent baptist there are many different types from ultra conservative to moderate in belief and it seems most don't want to associate with the other. I was raised Independent or Evangelical methodist and also in Ind. Baptist Churches. My family has pastored in both denominations. Now talk about something hard: having a Methodist

I was looking at the resource wiki and found a interesting series called the Exegetic summary series http://www.logos.com/product/4294/exegetical-summaries-series . I agree with the Sentiment of context, there is a great need not to make scripture say something it does not or read into the scriptures something that is not there for the sake of "good preaching". I have attended several Dispensational teaching churches and went to a small Bible college that taught dispensations. So i do not have any beef with the
