• So Cool!

F8 enters a drawing mode were you can be the John Madden of Bible study! Ok, it's a slightly corny feature if you are not connected to a projector.

  • Re: Status Report

To be fair you are downloading a lot of books. The speed of which depends on the logos servers and your ISP. I've spent a day downloading a game to install because I didn't want to buy and wait for discs via mail... is this any different? In my download experience if you interrupt the download you don't lose all of the download to that point (please

Anyone know what's in the new service release? Is it all under-the-hood stuff or are there any new/restored from LSDS 3 features?

  • Re: NLT Reverse Interlinear Missing

Logos really should put an asterisk next to the resources that aren't immediately available. I don't think they are using false advertising, but some could interpret it that way.

  • Re: Englishman's Concordance

If you have a text tagged with Strong's numbers right click on the word, in the right column click "Strongs #????" and then click "search this resource" If the English text has Greek behind it (for the reverse interlinears) right click on the word, then click "lemma" in the right and "search this resource" on the left Then in the search window click

  • Re: Help avoiding re-downloading 9.5 GB

Why don't you disconnect your computer from the internet? Unplug the cable or disable the wireless access until you can point Logos toward your backed-up files? I haven't had the pleasure of trying to install Logos 4 on a second computer yet, but that seems like it would work.
if there was I would want one where all entries/posts were moderated - wikis are frequently abused and misused
That's a fair comment.

Click the search button, you should see a string of words Basic Bible Morph Syntax Click Bible and from there it's pretty easy to figure out how to limit which Bible you search

  • We need a Wiki

The excitement/confusion/frustration over Logos 4 has been quite impressive. A sale rep told me (as I was upgrading to Platinum) that Bob reads every one of our posts. Bob, you are a trooper if indeed to read everything, especially for this week! Thanks for when you dip into the conversation with a clarification or explanation. As an early adopter

  • Re: What do the "stripes" in the scrollbars indicate

As far as I can tell they show the boundaries of chapters or other section w/in the book. If you hover on them they display text like a keylink. They seem to be there to allow you to hop to different places in your current chapter with a click instead of blind scrolling. This is only a guess. I haven't seen anything on this functionality from an official

I've got both running right now. I've noticed all my old links to Logos 3 books in Word and OneNote are being intercepted by Logos 4 and opened there (probably a registry thing)

  • Re: Where did the Reference Browser go?

You have two options 1) Use the "Cited by" tool. It works a lot like the old Reference browser. However, it is inferior for BDAG searching in that it does not open the lexicon directly to the cited example. I use option #2 2) Use a basic search window, limit its scope to BDAG and just search for the reference you want like "John 1:1" or "J 1:1." When

Many resources' pages have links to download the LDLS 3 files. It would be time consuming to look everything up and download it... but it would probably work.

Oops, I got your post backwards... read too fast. Anyway, I was able to paste a table from MS Word (2007) into the notes and the table was preserved along with its formatting (bold and italics). What version of Word are you using?

  • Re: What in the world is downloading?

I appreciate the "all or nothing" approach from a tech-support point of view. Automatic updates means that theoretically everyone is on the same page when they call tech support; bug fixes can be delivered quickly, saving tech support calls and money. However, I do miss the granular control that LDLS 3 provided; if an updated book file was released

  • Morphology Visual Filter Bug/Issue

This might not be a bug but I thought it might be helpful to share. I like to highlight my Greek text so that at a glance I can see what tense each verb is (Perfect = Red, Present = Yellow etc.). So, I consulted the help file and discovered I needed to start a new visual filter document. In it I opened up the Morphology window with "@" and clicked Verb

  • Terminology changes

I've spent a good deal of today playing around with Logos 4. I like it! I'm disappointed a few features (like graphical query) aren't coming back, but this happens from time to time with major redesigns. I've noticed that functionality has been moved around a bit. For example: Reference Browser is now "Cited By" Keylink options appear to work by "promoting
