• Re: L4 Timelines Still in Library

The L5 Timeline feature pulls from tagged events in resources. I doubt there is any details in the holdover L4 timelines not in the big L5 timeline. However, sometimes a smaller, more targeted timeline will be better then the master tool so it's good to have both handy.

  • Re: Hiding Resources Option is Hiding...

The menu option to hide a book is slightly hidden (having to press the extra key with a right click) is intentional. Sometimes people forget they've hidden a book and call Customer Support steamed that they don't have all the books they own. Making it hard to accidentally hide a book with an extra button press or the drag n' drop into the system settings

  • Sharing of Highlighting Palettes?

I was thrilled to be able to share my Intertextuality Note file (through my group OT Quotes in NT) when Logos 5 came out. However, it functions in conjunction with a custom highlight palette. It's nothing fancy (no embedded images) just colored underlines and a text label in a bubble. However, when I see this: Other see this: Now it's not a big deal

  • Re: Colour options
One wonders why Logos doesn't give that option. Is there anything coming from the RumourMill regarding such a thing?
I'm not aware of any announced plans to add any other resource/tool display options. Perhaps someone else knows something I don't.

  • Re: Colour options
From what I can see, we're not given that option within Logos itself, correct?
Correct, only the resource panes can be adjusted. The settings in the App are limited but you can grab the Windows default setting and that is more flexible in some respects.

  • Re: Logos 5 vs 4 speed
I take it that L5 is 64-bit. Doesn't this account for (some of?) the increase in speed all of us are appreciating?
No, L5 is still 32 bit as far as I know. A lot of the speed improvement is an updated version of .NET under it. However, there are numerous other little improvements here and there that makes it overall

  • Re: Confused by duplicate entries in search analysis view

You're welcome Michael. This is indeed an example where I could imagine it would be nice to have the option to either include or exclude Highlights from influencing the number of rows/results.
Thanks for looking at it Graham. Any suggestions at all? No one seems to be able to offer a solution and if I cannot trust the counts given in these types of searches the searches are useless.
Do you highlight your NASB95? When I was looking over the issue again I noticed that one one of the columns was highlights
That is so strange - is there a way to delete my NASB and redownload it? Do you think that might solve the problem?
Hide the NASB, restart Logos, let it index. Unhide NASB let it redownload and re-index. The duplication of the result in 1 Pet 5:9 is expected because the article/word combination is aligned under one

  • Re: Help: Using Logos to learn Greek?

In my recent upgrade to Logos 5 I got an introductory Greek grammar, Kairos. It comes with a workbook and answer key. I don't know it's a good learning Grammar or not but if you have it I'd at least look it over.

  • Re: BUG lexical destination off

What BHS are you using? If it is one of the old BHS (Westminster 4.0 or earlier) it was before the correct Hebrew keylink tables were constructed. I think you'll need to use another Hebrew Bible to fix this.

  • Re: Clause search
Yes, that works. So does the regular bible search function. Yet, clause search should have pulled the inference to the birth narrative in Matt. 2.2 . With : Person:Jesus Subject:king, this should have (imho) given this result , as well as others. Interesting.
Keep in mind that subject will be grammatical

  • Re: Clause search

No problem at all. The issue here is that the Clause search has some limitations (at least right now) compared to the regular search. We can look for the places where the person Jesus is tagged. However we can't look for the word "King" in the same clause as the Jesus tag. Also, Boolean operators such as OR don't work (I hope this is a "yet" case).
