• Resize Bug: Bible Sense Lexicon (5.0a)

Steps Open the Bible Sense Lexicon, the tree shows. Maximize the window, the tree is truncated. If you click actual size or fit the tree resizes and works as expected. I've duplicated this twice. I'm on Win 7 Pro.

  • Re: Clause search

The Clause search is based on referent tagging that, usually, is not theological in nature. What are you trying find? With some specific examples we should be able to help you either find what you're looking for or better define the parameters of what the Clause search can do.

  • Re: Visual filters

Yes, the Bible and Morph visual filters can be set to only run on a specific passage. Think of it like setting up a search. It just has the capability to add a custom highlight to the search.

  • Re: Article Index from Journal

Not easily. One strategy is to create a Personal Book by copying all the contents of the journals into a docx file and compile it. Also, depending on the publisher/society that puts out those journals they may have an article list available on their website. It's worth a look in either case.

  • Re: Help with a syntax searach

Interpreting the function of the Dative is outside of the scope of Cascadia. The Lexham Syntactic GNT does have syntactic force tagging such as Dative of means, but the diagrams are much simpler and you can't really restrict to clauses, just entire sentences, my search came up with a lot more hits than your did. Of course the means/sphere/anything else

Aaron, Sorry, I did miss something when looking over your search. There are two prepositional phrases in the 1 Peter example but your search is looking for a nominal and a prepositional phrase in addition to the verb. Consider this as an alternative and slightly simpler search. Notice that I've tagged Phrase 1 with both Nominal or Prepositional, this
Any reason the NLT isn't given much credit? Do the scholar's not like it? I've read the NKJV/NIV/NAB, I prefer the NLT. Actually reads cleaner..
The NLT is a much looser translation or depending on how you draw the line a paraphrase. While all translations/paraphrases involve some level of interpretation the NLT

  • Re: Help with a syntax searach

I see why your search doesn't get the 1 Peter example. Consider this screen shot The pp under the np is tagged with sozo as it's head term, not pistis . To hop over this intervening term you need to check "Matching Skips levels" on your Phrase 3.

  • Re: Default highlight uses

Unfortunately the default sets are static, they can't be edited. I prefer using custom palates with custom styles. It allows me full control on what I have or don't have. The custom names are helpful for when I want to search within highlights.
I was wondering why the BHS yields the morphology data but not its definition when hovering over a word?
Simply some Hebrew Bibles are tagged with this and other aren't. This screen grab makes me realize, if you unselect all options then "All Morph text" is what is displayed by default.

  • Re: lemma and morph search
You must be doing a bible search since "Words of Christ" isn't an option in a morph search. In a morph search you need to clear all to get "All morph text."
Not necessarily, a reverse interlinear Bible (pardon that dirty word ) can have the Words Christ search field.

  • Re: lemma and morph search

You should be able to search all morph text. Is it possible that you have a Bible search up instead of a Morph search. Could you post a screenshot of what you're seeing? Perhaps we can pick out what the issue is from the picture.

  • Re: BUG?: Morph search for root showing additional roots

It's by design. The Analysis view shows all possible combinations of data to allow for sorting and filtering. The reason why other roots show up is because sometimes one English word translates multiple Greek words. Think of the Surface text (in this case English words) as boxes, when you search for a root you are asking Analysis to display all associated
I just upgraded to logos 5 Silver today. First thing I noticed is that the visual filters for Greek verb forms and case that I have set up to show in the ESV are all awry.
