I continue to raise this as a serious issue if Logos wants to truly serve the entire Christian community. In addition to the preacher/practitioners listed, there are numerous African American scholars that are ignored in Logos' vast resources. There are a few, True to Our Native Land: An African American New Testament, We Have Been Believers: An African

Agreed! I took Christian Worship in seminary taught by Dr. Melva Costen. Wonderful. Let's continue to press for more diversity in the publications Logos offers.

I would even argue for an African American base package, once sufficient AA resources are published by Logos that is.

Thanks so much. FYI: In Windows 8.1 .NET Framework is built-in and not able to be uninstalled, however installing 4.5.2 took care of everything.

The machine is a Lenovo Twist running Windows 8.1 Pro. Any suggestions?

I'm running Logos 5.1a SR-1 on a iMac version 10.7.5 w 2.66 GHz Intel Core Duo and 4 GB memory. I've encountered this on my MacBook Pro as well. My apologies to NB.Mick, I believe it WAS indexing at first the last time this occurred but I subsequently paused indexing which didn't seem to help much.
-
This happens when indexing is not happening. It's more related to books with numbers in front, which causes similar books from the Perseus collection to pop into the window even while attempting to enter the reference.
-
Since downloading the Perseus collection, it wreaks havoc with creating a passage list especially when adding a reference to 1 Cor 13:4-13, or 1 Jn 4:11-12. It bogs down the computer so that it takes almost 5 mins for the reference to even populate the field after typing. Is there a fix?

ok, thanks much.

I do understand and yes, it seems Logos has acknowledged their marketing blunder. I consider myself a mature Christian but wasn't prepared for the psychology of having a Portfolio package (which I'm still paying for) and realizing that to upgrade to v. 5 Portfolio was a little over $2,000 for me. I was expecting an engine upgrade to work with my existing

Anyone know a quick way to find all the commentaries, Bible handbooks etc. that contain outlines of the books of the Bible?

I for one, really am anxious to see this published if, for no other reason, the diversity of authorship that is sorely missed in the selection of resources currently offered by Logos.

I do use the African American Lectionary quite often. It is especially helpful when I need resources on special days that may be unique to the Black Church and not celebrated in the RCL. I wish there were resources from African/African American perspectives in general. Thanks for raising the question.

Ok, thanks so much for the replies. Yes, if I click to the left of the icon, I can move the note. I was used to clicking ON the icon in the previous version. Problem solved. Thanks again.
-
With the release of 4.5 SR-1, I can no longer manually reorder the notes by clicking and dragging them to the order I choose. Please fix.

Great to know. Thanks!

For some reason, when trying to create a custom scripture range when making a new bible visual filter, the boxes that allow me to define & title the range don't light up or accept any text. My workaround is to go to the "search" dialogue, create a range there, then come back to visual filter and select the range I created. Anybody know why I can't do
