  • Andersen Forbes morphology in an ENGLISH Bible PLEASE

Logos, would you PLEASE bring back Andersen Forbes morph in an ENGLISH Bible. I completely understand you guys wanting to use your own morphology to expand and bring in more options later on, but the Logos Morphology is VERY INFERIOR to the AF morphology in: adverbs (AF has more than 50 segments and subclasses, LM has NONE), conjunctions (AF has more

  • Re: Alliterated Resources for Logos

Rich Alliteration is where the author makes sermon points rhyme or sound alike in some creative way. Here's an example from John' Butler's sermonettes book: Wise Men “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshiped him; and when they had opened their treasures, the y presented unto

Thanks Bro Mark..I had already listed Mattoon, and was looking for works other than his, though I too hope they make it into production. Great product!

  • Alliterated Resources for Logos

Hi Logos scholars, I'm searching for alliterated resources. I know that I can search Logos for "alliterated" resources, but that often does not yield accucate result. I'm wondering if you would reply here and let me know of any resources whatsoever that are alliterated. I am aware of the John Butler works, and the Mattoon works that on the way, as well

Hi Mark, yes, tried several versions. None work. I'm running the morph search just as I see it ran here in this thread. Any ideas on things I could check to troubleshoot? Also, I see someone on here has an ESV "2011 version." Is it possible to have different versions of the ESV?

  • Re: Would someone please help me, Im an IDIOT!

Thanks for your reply. How do you have a 2011 ESV? Thus do you have an older or later edition? I though there was only one edition of ESV per Logos platform. Mine just says ESV, not 2011 ESV. Confused there. Also, shouldn't this work with any ESV version? I'm running the morph search just as you are and not getting any results. Any advice!

  • Would someone please help me, Im an IDIOT!

Hi folks, I have having trouble tonight performing the most basic of tasks, running a morph search for Nouns, Verbs, Adverbs, etc in Romans. No matter what Greek morph search I perform, I am getting back 0 results, and I can only get a few results (the noun "help", I think) in Hebrew morph search. I am sure I am doing something wrong, but am stumped

Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture set looks like a great set! https://www.logos.com/product/31152/ancient-christian-commentary-on-scripture-complete-set-updated-edition And a really good idea! Can anyone recommend any similar products with this same concept of the church fathers or earlier writers (Reformation era or before), either arranged

  • Re: Morphology changes??

Same here John. That video set was great, but the morph changes was a HUGE letdown as you could not follow along with him more than half the time. While some have said the new morphology is superior, I liked the options of the old one, as it seemed more robust and detailed. I'm praying that this was corrected in 6. Hopefully one the Logos wise scholars

  • Morphology changes??

Wondering if Logos 6 contains any changes to Hebrew morphology? I loved the Andersen-Forbes Hebrew morphology that was tied to the ENGLISH Bibles in Logos 4, and have been dissatisfied with the Logos Hebrew Morphology since it is more limited (such as in ability to search Divine names, nouns with definite article He). I know you can do all of this with

  • Word List - Transliteration added ??

For you experts out there, is there any possible way to add the English transliteration of a Greek or Hebrew word to a word list? If not, has anyone previously requested this, and or has there been any talk about this? Thank you so much for your wisdom. Myke Harbuck Byron GA

  • Re: Display of applicable verses for each English word in Translation Wheel

Thanks! The video says that clicking the lemma in the middle would return all 166 of 166 uses, but the 152 of 166 figure related to doxa remains even when I click back in the center. So are you saying that although the 152 of 166 figue as well as the doxa label display there, that the list below will actually include all 166 verses when I have clicked

  • Recommended advanced training videos on morph, syntax, Greek, Hebrew word studies. etc.

I'm looking for some advanced training videos for Logos 5 on morph searches (of many different kinds), syntax information and searches, and advanced word study options. Most of the stuff I see, like Camp Logos and Logos Mobile Ed training are very basic, just scratching the surface with each of the different functions. Are there any training videos

Hi Todd, if I may, let me ask a follow-up question to this post, even though it's been several years since it was added. If I wanted to do a search on the manuscript instead of the lemma that yielded the various visual graphs, charts, etc, (such as you can the the lemma in the translation wheel and usage graphs), can I do that? Seems to me one would

  • Display of applicable verses for each English word in Translation Wheel

Hi friends, I am working through the mobile ed Logos Academic Training. At one point the instructor discusses operation of the translation wheel. He demonstrates that once you click on a particular English word in the wheel (which then displays underneath that all of the applicable versus where that English word is used), you should then be able to

I am having trouble understanding why the the instructor's construct noun search results vary significantly from mine. Wondering if somebody could shed some light on the discrepancies? His is on left, mine is on right. He is on Logos 4, I am on 5. Different morphologies (AFAT vs Logos Morph). Yet isnt a construct noun a construct noun?? And even if

Mark, THANK YOU so much for your quick reply. Attached is the screen shot to the training video where the filter was created. It does appear that there are different morphological selections for the ESV version in Logos 4 than there are for the ESV version in Logos 5. Not sure if it is AFAT though? Andersen Forbes Hebrew Morphology is what he is using

Sorry about so many replies. I kept getting a server error and therefor did not think the the replies were successful. Here's one where I was beginning the filter. Notice that I only have nouns selected at this point, yet verbs are highlighted, such as Job 2:3.
