Here's one I'm currently reading: http://vyrso.com/product/17449/passport-through-darkness-a-true-story-of-danger-and-second-chances ("enjoy" reading is not quite the right word, as the events described are just too depressing...) Jan

  • Re: No Logos App in the Amazon App Store?

Yes indeed. If you list the apps published by Logos Bible Software, it is not on the list: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_mobile-apps?_encoding=UTF8&field-brandtextbin=Logos%20Bible%20Software&node=2350149011
I discovered what the issue is - Logos now offers in-app purchasing but Amazon doesn't allow that, so they pulled the app. We've submitted a new version to Amazon with that feature removed. Sorry for the trouble. In-app purchasing will still be available for non-Amazon versions of Logos.
Another thing on the Vyrso

  • Re: New Books from Crossway?

The link to Amazon he posted is an affiliate link. He earns up to 15% commission. If anyone clicks this link, and orders anything from Amazon in the following 24 hours, Jacob earns commission. The operating agreement explicitly disallows the use of affiliate links on any other page than the ones the affiliate user owns personally.

  • Default commentary for 2nd panel

Is there any chance to select a different commentary for the second panel? I've currently got the "summarized Bible" in there, but would like to have something more substantial. Thanks, Jan

  • Re: Verse of the day and Windows 8.1

Still not working. I installed Win 8.1 on my second PC now, and the same thing happened. I didn't update through the Windows Store, but did a fresh installation with an original Win 8.1 DVD.

Yes! That did the Job! Thanks a lot! There seems to be a minor glitch. I was able to scan c:\, however, any subfolders are not working though. Jan

Thanks for clarifying. Just wanted to make sure I've not messed up my fresh installation after one day. :-o I'm using Win 8.1 RTM. (Isn't it like 1.30 AM for you over there? Quite an unusual time for forum support ;-)

  • Command box in localised application

Hi, After a routine Windows reinstallation, I just wanted to add the last bunch of lbxlls resources which I rescued from Libronix almost 5 years ago. I had to discover that the command box is no longer working in the localised Logos application, so the scan command doesn't work. I assume the commands have all been translated as well. However, there

  • Re: Verse of the day and Windows 8.1

I found the solution. Both my Win 8.1 installations lost their activation after I added the Media components that came as a free add-on with Win 8.0. Apparently they're not licensed to work on Win 8.1 (lots of irritated users on the MS forums...) Anyway, when the system is not activated, the lock screen can't be changed. That includes the Logos app
That's right, Jan. The birthday promotion is separate to the promotion covered by this thread. Do ensure you send Ray Deck an email at the address Bruce posted above if you have not already done so.
Yes, already done, but never received a reply. I'll try again. Thanks! Jan

  • Vyrso Freebies Mailing List

In know there's already a Twitter feed, and an RSS feed on Vyrso free books, but since I'm using neither on a regular basis (I'm still in the stone age, mainly using email...) I've created a script checking the Vyrso website every 60 minutes, and sending out all new free books by email. So it sends out emails no later than 60 minutes after initial release

  • Force discovery of installed resources

Hi, I just noticed a couple of inconstistencies in my library. Some resources show as installed whereas in fact they're not. This happened as a result of me experimenting to switch between internal and external memory card... Trying to open one of these resources will result in an error message... Is there any way to force the app to do a discovery

  • Re: Moving resources to an external SD card

I've done a lot of research on that topic over the weekend, and I think I understand enough now to give an answer. Moving to external memory card necessarily requires root access. Android by itself can't natively move any app to any other location than the phone memory or the first memory card (which happens to be the internal one if it exists). Solutions

The memory card in the galaxy tab just seems to be glued on: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/33743-external-sd-card-only-guide/ The Kobo seems to have an integrated microSD slot: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2493538&postcount=4 I think there might be some chance to get this working, but as I said, I'd only have it done by an authorized

  • Re: What are most of you doing?

That's correct, as of April, Windows XP will no longer receive security patches. So will Office 2003. Most third party vendors will stop supplying updates and up to date versions for Windows XP soon after (anti virus tools, Logos, and probably many others). So equipment that's 11 years old will come to an end of life now. That's actually not too bad

Hi Pavel, I just tested this. I never used the highlighting option before. Looks like a good feature. Anyway, the feature hasn't been optimized for E-Ink at all, but it's available, and syncing also is working fine. All kind of highlighting options are available: circling, underscore, double underscore, boxes etc. as well as the various background and

The series is also (almost) free on Kindle: http://www.amazon.com/gp/bookseries/B00CJ8EKKC/kindle/ Some volumes cost 1 or 2 cents though. I used to have the impression that 99 cents was the minimum price for a kindle book, but maybe that's only true for kdp books...
