• Re: Logos 4.0a Beta 1 Available
Don't see it. I did a Bible search for predestined and for Jesus. Neither have it. I installed using the above link and when I go to Help About it says sr7. Should it say 4.0a? If so then why didn't I get the beta with the link above?
Kevin, Not sure why your download didn't work but I used the same link and
My collections came over perfectly. I installed over my 4.0 account.
Got my collections back. I copied the ResourceCollectionManager database file in Logos4/Documents/{randomnumber}/ResourceCollectionManager from my old install to the new install. I apparently have everything now. I'm not sure if I've compromised my

  • Re: What about the graphical query?
We'll work on improving this soon, though I can't yet say if it'll be the old graphical query or something newer (and better!).
If the implementation of the new datasheet view of morphological results in the 4a beta is an indication of things to come, I am greatly encouraged. I love the drag and drop reordering

Oh I see. It is on mine too. Works great! That is very helpful. Thanks for the help. Did your collections come over from your old install?

The new Datasheet view in the 4a beta is a big step in the right direction for reducing my need to leave Logos.

I am loving me some Datasheet! Seriously useful! Now we are talking! I am verklempt! Did anybody lose their collections besides me? My layouts, favorites, bookmarks, clippings, notes, reading plans, and highlighting all synced to the beta version but no collections. Also, DamiAn, did you do something to get the Cited By tool to list the individual books

  • Re: What about the graphical query?

The discussion from this thread http://community.logos.com/forums/p/5280/41725.aspx has increased my concern that usage statistics from L3 might not be the best basis for making a decision concerning the future of advanced morphological queries. I wonder how much the usage stats reflect the fact that people have found competitive products to be more

  • Re: Still using BibleWorks after installing Logos 4?

All this honesty encourages me to share the truth about why the statistics regarding the tools I use in Logos do not really reflect what I use Bible software to do . . . I used Bibleworks for the more complicated searches in original languages until I switched to being a Mac user and then used Accordance. When I need to be a ninja with the biblical

Rick, Thanks for the tip on making a custom guide with Septuagint Translation. That is very helpful. Just curious . . . are there plans to have glosses for Hebrew and Greek words available on hover in either pop-ups or the Information tab in these reports?

When I first read the post, I thought there must have been a new build of the software released with this requested functionality. Maybe there is a new build coming that is behind the post?

Mac Users can use the free OmniDazzle by Omnigroup for marking up a live presentation. For marking up screen shots on a Mac, the free Skitch by Plasq is hard to beat.

  • Daily Bible Reading Plan not showing up on Home Page

Today's blog post states, "Imagine, you wake up in the morning, go through your normal routine and, with your favorite morning beverage, sit down and open Logos 4. Right there on the Home page the Bible translation of your choosing is opened to your reading plan of choice." It also shows a screen capture of what I suspect is the correct Bible reading

I am very excited about the potential with all the development with the syntactical databases. However, it is a concern that search capabilities on good old fashioned morphologically tagged databases have been curtailed. I'm not sure that these resources are a sufficient substitute for the functionality that the graphical query provided for searching

No promise is broken. As mentioned above the 4.0 engine is available for free. The recommended minimal crossgrade can be found here: http://www.logos.com/minimalcrossgrade This crossgrade includes a lot of new Reverse Interlinears, Image and Map resources, and other resources that takes full advantage of the new functionality of version 4.0. As I understand

Total agreement the need for custom styles and multiple sets of highlighting. Also agree with the need to be able to import symbols and would add the need to associate letters and numbers with a style so one can easily create notes that recreate the highlight of a book. I would also like to see the names associated with custom styles function as searchable
