• Need some help on a Hebrew/LXX BWS issue

I am trying to determine the semantic relationship between παρατίθημι and παραδίδωμι in the LXX. John 19:30 seems to be an allusion to Psalm 31:5 (30:6 LXX) but παραδίδωμι is used in John and παρατίθημι is used in Psalms where it translates פקד. I would like to find out if there are any occurences in the LXX of παραδίδωμι translating פקד. The only way

Are their plans to make the page numbers more prominent for those who need to cite for papers?
In general, the plan is for things to work the same way Logos 4 does, though it obviously has a long ways to go.
do you want us beta testing this? i.e. reporting bugs?

I notice that the page index information is included in the resource because it switches between Bible reference and page number on commentaries. Are their plans to make the page numbers more prominent for those who need to cite for papers?

It would also be nice if Purchase date (or Modified) was available as a sortable column in the library view.
Russ, This has already been discussed a few times. Generally the discussion comes down to the point that Logos does not want to create a "modal" interface for highlighting, it's more problematic (from their perspective) to do so. I do know they're listing /reading all these posts so they can gauge the interest in such a move

  • Highlighter Needs to Toggle On and Off Instead of Requiring Click or Key Press

Highlighting needs to have an option that lets you toggle the highlighter on and off instead of requiring a mouse click or key press to apply the highlight. It is a bit cumbersome to have to select the text and then do another action to highlight it. It would be much better if you could choose your style, turn your highlighter on, and then just select

  • Re: Store typo reports while offline?

I wonder if it would ever be possible to allow users to make the actual correction instead of merely reporting it? It would also really be great if users were allowed to make links to resources for references that have been missed. The software could report the correction as a typo for the publisher to correct at some point but then the user would not

  • Re: Suggestion: Popups for Commentaries in Passage Guide

Or how about an excerpt for each commentary (like the current Basic search results excerpts)? Perhaps each click of a + or - (or "More" or "Less") button could expand or contract each excerpt. It would also be nice if the page numbers were included in either the popup or excerpt so you don't have to open the source to get that info. Something like this

Is there some sort of publisher restriction on the first 8 volumes that does not apply to the most recent releases? If so, when might we expect this to be worked out?
I wonder if they negotiated mobile-use rights with all newer resources, and the old ones have to be renegotiated. (Just

Carson is not available on iPhone but it is logos4 file on computer. Brown (AYB) is available on iPhone but it is lbxlls file on computer.
so far the only limitations I have read about is getting publisher rights. what leads you to believe lack of access to these has something to do with formatting

Carson is not available on iPhone but it is logos4 file on computer. Brown (AYB) is available on iPhone but it is lbxlls file on computer. I assume that logos4 file conversion is not necessarily related to iphone file conversion?

  • Re: BECNT volume on John has links to ICC, WBC but not AYB, Pillar or NICNT

I also report the missing links as typos occasionally. I wish there was a way to allow users to create these links. If that were possible, I could correct my library when I notice it for future use. Perhaps there could be a way for Logos to collect these corrections as typos and use that data to make them permanent for others (after verifying its accuracy

  • BECNT volume on John has links to ICC, WBC but not AYB, Pillar or NICNT

I am working very carefully through Kostenberger on John in BECNT. I have noticed that the references to Beasley-Murray in WBC, Bernard in ICC, Borchert in NAC are linked appropriately. But the references to Brown in AYB, Carson in Pillar, and Morris in NICNT are not. The Kostenberger volume is a logos4 instead of lbxlls file. Why the inconsistency

I ended up posting it here because it is the performance of the Windows version of L4 to which I am referring. This isn't that big of a deal to me. Just interesting

  • Is L4 Win more responsive in Coherence than Window mode in Parallels 5?

Up till now I have run L4 in Window mode in Parallels 5 (on a second monitor most of the time). Because I am away from the second monitor, I have tried running it in Coherence mode for the first time. It seems like it is much, much more responsive in just about every way. Anybody else noticed this?
In my mind their Greek/Hebrew collection is by far their most attractive current collection. I am sure they realize that these books + some of the new features of L4 would make a very compelling entry product to sell to Bible college and seminary students.
This is just a guess on my part. I am sure you noticed as you were reading the Zondervan site that all indications are they are planning some type of boxed product. While it is probable that there will be revisions to the continents of their new collections, I would think they would match fairly closely their current Pradis
Most newer books come to Logos in digital format, but it takes time to tag them up to the Logos standard. In addition, Zondervan may not want all their resources that Logos is currently working on to be available for download, some of their titles may be reserved for release initially in their new boxed products.
