Hi, Still not resolved I'm afraid. I sent you and Peter another email about this issue, following a long session with Apple support at the weekend. Would appreciate a follow up on that. Blessings, Tim

Hi, Logos support got on the phone to me and ran a remote desktop session. They then got back to me after a couple of weeks saying that they have no idea why Logos and Proclaim won't start. Their senior Mac developer noted that people on this forum were having similar issues, but I can't see those posts. They suggested I talk to Apple support, but I

Apologies again for the delay. Please find attached the log files for Proclaim. Thanks, Tim 8666.Proclaim log files.zip

Apologies for the late reply, I got caught up some things but hope to post the log files in the next day or two. Thanks

Hi, All other apps are fine, but suddenly Proclaim and Logos (6) will not open at all. The icon bounces briefly in the dock, but nothing happens: no window or dialog opens, it just disappears from the dock again. I'm on Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.6 I've tried reboots and reinstalling the apps, but no joy. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi all, Just wanted to confirm if I can buy the core datasets first and then update to the 'full' minimal crossgrade later, if I want? Thanks!

Thanks for the explanation: makes sense now.

Well, would you believe it, I was amazed last night: I restored my files from backup to a separate folder, so they would all be ready to copy across to the correct folders. I went to uninstall Logos, first checking the Start > Programs menu to see if it had it's own uninstall option. In the process I accidentally clicked on Logos 5 itself ... And it

Thanks very much Mark and alabama24! I will do so. Blessings!

Well, I was advised on a different thread that I could go straight from one to the other as part of the process. The wiki page seems to indicate that this is ok too. But perhaps it would be safer to re-install L4 first and then upgrade to L5 once I know it's ok? What is the consensus on this?
To clarify: You moved from L4 on computer A, to L5 on computer B. Is that right? I noticed something about the wrong NIV file being detected. Can you load to a blank layout? If so, can you run the command "update resources"?
Yes, that's right. I don't get as far as the program itself opening; just the "logos is preparing

Hi, I've just tried transferring to a new PC from my old Logos 4 to Logos 5 installation. i followed the wiki procedures to avoid downloading/indexing but get an error when i start Logos. Attached is my log file. Any ideas? Thanks 0181.LogosLog.zip

Thanks!

My main issue is just getting it onto the new machine.
You can save downloading of resources if you use Method 3 to install on the new machine. You can also choose whether to use the Logos 4 engine or the free Logos 5 engine (choose the appropriate download link).
Thanks Dave, You've

Thanks Rosie, That's great and reassuring. I don't think I can afford the minimal crossgrade at the moment, but am hoping to do that later. My main issue is just getting it onto the new machine. Thanks for the heads up about the personal books too; I do have a few of them, thought thankfully they are already backed up!

Hi all, I currently have Logos 4 on an old PC. Unfortunately, the PC is dying and I'm am currently trying to move stuff across to the new machine before it goes forever. My question is whether I should re-install Logos 4 on the new machine, or whether I am "safe" to go straight to Logos 5, or indeed, whether it would be better to do so? Thanks, Tim

Following your comment re the core datasets, is it possible to get the core datasets and then the "rest" of the minimum crossgrade at a later date?
-
That's brilliant ...and what I was hoping too. Thanks for getting back to me.

Hi, We are about to go into a testing phase to see how Proclaim works for us. I'm quite excited about the collaborative nature of setting up the services so that the bulk of the work setting up the presentation of the service is done in advance and "together". However, there are often times during a service where the order of service changes (particularly
