I have that map as well, but it doesn't show Lycaonia. It looks like Galatia, Pamphylia, Asia are provinces on that map. Pisidia and Lycaonia are just regions then? But on the Roman Empire map Pamphylia is not mentioned. The Biblical Places tool doesn't tell me the difference between Lycaonia, Pamphylia, Pisidia, Galatia, Asia. They are all called regions

I have Original Languages (including Perseus), several commentaries (WBC) and some lexicons (EDNT, BDAG).I don't have a Biblical encyclopedia (yet). It would be nice if I can find it in my library. I did some searches, but found it rather overwhelming. But if it is not in my library I am interested to know in which resource I can find definitions and

  • Roman Empire

Hello, I am reading Acts 13 and 14 and I am trying to understand the geography. Is there a resource in Logos that tells more about the Roman empire in the first century and the differences between provinces and regions? Are Lycaonia (Acts 14:6), Pamphylia and Pisidia (14:24) provinces or regions? And how do they relate to the province of Galatia?
Patrick, can you tell me which book was not working with the coupon code? I will look into the problem.
It was The Resurrection of the Son of God by N.T. Wright.

For some reason, the 30% discount doesn't work. It still says $40 in my shopping cart. The couponcode area is filled out, but doesn't make a difference. What to do? I mean the holy week special discount for Wright book about resurrection. Edit: Hm, I added another book to the list and then the discount worked. Probably a wrong coupon code for the first

  • Re: How many books by D.A. Carson do qualify for the sale?
Not all that exciting, really.
Hi Rosie, I think there is a little mistake. We are talking about 75% OFF, isn't it? So the discount is $89.25! So the three together would cost ($119 - $89.25) $29.75 I would call that very exciting!
I think the smartest choice is to vote for N.T. Wright.
I agree.

How do you know D.A. Carsons books published by Baker are excluded?

I voted N.T.Wright. I own the first book of theChristian Origins and the Question of God Series. Would be cool to get the other two with 75% discount.

So now N.T.Wright vs D.A. Carson. I was wondering what people hope to get from the authors of their choice more than the other author. Patrick

  • Re: recent Dutch Bible translations please?

THANKS, Simon, it works for me now! This will save a lot of time. There are only a few things that didn't work. 1. In the text there is Filémon and Filém. How can we tell the program what to do with it? I added an extra line in the Tag.xlsx file, but that didn't work. Has that to do with the fact that there is also 'Fil' = Philipians? 2. Kol. 1:13,

  • Hyperlinking in a PB

Maybe there is already a thread about it, but I can't find it. If so, please let me know. Also in the wiki I couldn't find anything about it. I have a long index (DOCX) with scripture references and hyperlinks to a set of over 450 external pdfs. How will these hyperlinks be presevered? Now the pb doesn't keep the hyperlinks. Does it mean there is no
New version: 8308.LogosTagger.zip
Hi Simon, today I started to work with your very handy tool. However, for some reason, it gives me this error message: Not sure what to do. After clicking continue, and using the new tagged docx file in a PB, Logos doesn't see English tags. What did I do wrong? Patrick

Now the question is how it is possible that some call it junk and other like it. Something wrong with the PDFs?

  • Re: PDFZilla for Free

It didn't really do a nice job for me. I had a pdf with three columns. The word doc was completely useless. Every line of the column was put in a little text box and the three columns did overlap each other. Also letters disappeared. I don't think I will ever use it.

  • Re: Pericope sets missing?

I have many Dutch and German bibles in the Bible translation software that I use (but not the pericope feature). I don't want to pay money to get just that pericope list in Logos.
