My personal favorite Word commentaries (speaking only about the NT volumes, since I have read a lot less of the OT ones) are Hagner on Matthew, Evans on Mark, Longenecker on Galatians, Lane on Hebrews and Aune on Revelation. Lane and Aune especially are must-haves in any good collection.

These are important books. Would be great to have in Logos.

With technology problems sometimes occur. That's fine, and is just part of life. I am generally a very happy Logos costumer. So I will just delete the tags and retag these books again, it's just around 100 or so books. When I retag a book, it synchronizes immediately as it should. This is not a big problem for me personally. I just don't agree with
-
Ok, I will try to phrase it another way. If synchronizing is now working properly after the sync outage, how come tags I have put on books on one PC does not show up on another PC? Cf. my previous screenshots.
-
164 books untagged in one installation. 256 books untagged another. Yet both computers claim to be "synchronized" (the sync-wheel is not spinning, and says "all items are up to date" on both computers).
-
Unfortunately, I added tags to a lot of books that day, so now my Logos installation on one computer has tags on books that have not made its way over to another of my computer. Do I have to manually add tags on the other computer, or is there a way to "force synchronizing" my tags?

Yes, that is a great Mobile Ed course! Jon Paulien is always great.

I agree that the sales copy is misleading: "Includes both PowerPoint and JPEG formats". You actually only get JPEG images, not PowerPoint files in this product.

Very disturbing news. Two larger SDA commentary projects are underway - the one-volume Andrews University Press commentary and the multi-volume SDAIBC from Pacific Press. But until they are out (some years in the future) this Andrews Study Bible was the only recent Adventist commentary in the base packages Silver and below. Now there is none.
-
I have not got the update yet. Yes, the links to EGWs books work fine in the current old version of the SDA Bible Commentary that I have.
-
And thanks for your 6000+ posts here on the Logos forum. Enjoy your day!

Martin, is it an alternative to get some SDA material into the Logos world as Vyrso-published resources instead, since they take a lot less time and money to process than proper Logos resources? Could for instance Pacific Press be interested in making large sections of their catalog available as Vyrso books?
-
Martin, thanks for all your hard work in 2015 for Logos customers in general and the SDA constituency in particular. A lot of Adventist resources and several base packages came to fruition this year, richly blessing all of us in our ministries and our study of the Word. It has been a phenomenal year for Logos SDA. May God continue to bless your efforts

Vance Ferrell is a controversial figure, and no longer an Adventist pastor (he handed in his resignation because he no longer agreed sufficiently with the SDA Church). I would be very careful with the way he characterizes various theologians. Since you have the SDA Silver package, you already have Dr. LaRondelle's book on perfectionism in your Logos
Pastor LaRondelle who did not believe in foundational truths like the investigative judgement. Therefore, I want stay away from stuff like this. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks!
Hi John, most of us would consider Dr. Hans LaRondelle to have been pretty much a middle-of-the-road scholar

Lynden, the easiest and most fun textbook teaching basic Latin is actually available in Logos, the book "Familia Romana": https://www.logos.com/product/36369/lingua-latina-familia-romana-collection But I guess Latin is a luxury for most people today. Hard enough to keep up with Hebrew and Greek...

Congratulations Elias, and God bless you in your new responsibility!

I have watched large parts of Jon Paulien's Mobile Ed course on eschatology, and it is great content. Absolutely fantastic. So there is nothing wrong with the product. The problem here is economics and pricing. The high prices of Logos Mobile Ed courses in general (compared to comparable video-courses and lectures put out by other companies) are probably

The tragic passing of Erno Gyeresi at AU Press this Spring (due to cancer) is probably a big reason for the delay, and they might not be able to give another date until he has been replaced as an editor. It could also be that some of the authors have not turned in their manuscripts yet. A lot of variables in a big project like this.
-
I am not part of the one-volume Andrews Study Bible project, but I can give a general comment on the SDAIBC. The writing for some of the volumes is done, and are now in the peer reviewing and editing phase. Most volumes however have a manuscript deadline at the end of this year (2015). After that comes extensive peer reviewing, time for author to incorporate
