  • Re: Smooth Scrolling

Smooth Scrolling It would certainly be on my wish list too. The frustration I find is when a passage falls between two 'pages' making it necessary to flick between the two, rather than merely positioning the text by scrolling. I'm not familiar with Olivetree but found Mantis. I use this for study groups and church - the scrolling is superb, with a complete

  • Re: Logos4's 'Note File' functionality is missing significant Logos3 functionality

Six months on and I still find it frustrating to have to use Ctrl + Click to go to a Bible reference from my note files! 1. I can go directly to a Bible reference from any publication in my library with a simple 'Click'. 2. I can go directly to any Strong's number from the Interlinear with a simple 'Click'. 3. I can go directly to a Bible reference

Thanks, Some confusion there obviously: The Recent Books which was displayed darker was highlighted and the lighter Library was not highlighted - that makes sense! The details in the search box. Also the "Recent Books" doesn't show a number at the top but diplays the twenty most recent books.

There is one resource listed, "1 resources", under Recent Books and twenty in total in the Library . In the screen shot above the Library is highlighted, there is no grey area with the number of resources listed and the slider on the right side indicates it is at the top of the page, pulled down to reveal nothing above the top listed resource.

Thanks Jerry, I've tried that but there is no number at the top like with Vyrso. (20 isn't too difficult to count by scrolling through.) Publications displayed include those downloaded, indicated with the airplane symbol, and those without, which are available to read online.

  • Some Issues with Vyrso

When logged on with my Logos user details ( via WiFi connection ) the Library lists 919 available publications. In Logos 4 on my laptop there are 1010 publications listed. However using the same logon details with the Logos App ( also connected via WiFi ) there are only 20 publications available and no number is shown at the top of the Library screen

"You'll have the power of Logos 4's highlighting and notes, including the graphical highlight styles and the ability to have multiple note files. And, soon, the ability to share your notes and highlights with groups, or the whole world." I am SO looking forward to the inclusion of these features and can't wait for the update to become available!

  • Re: Vyrso capabilities

With the availability of the internet the software will use that route first to access a publication instead of checking whether or not it is already available on your iPhone. The way around this is to turn off the Internet connection from the phone 'Settings', 'General', 'Network' screen. Mybe, if you want to read without interruption, you could turn

  • Re: Ipod touch 8 GB offline

Hi Willeke, Two weeks of silence suggests it is not possible, unfortunately. There is no way to directly sync with your computer! Try downloading only one publication at a time within each 3G account billing period. Alternatly find an internet WiFi hot spot with a cheap (free ?) useage rate. The main issue is with the protection Apple have in place

I appreciate your suggestions for alternatives, Kevin. (Mantis, Olive Tree and Laridian PocketBible) Unfortunately the areas I travel to cannot wait for Logos to get this Offline issue sorted out!

Hi Graham, Thanks (again). The Hyperlink worked fine. It's something I will be using quite frequently. Graham (B)

  • Re: Highlighting - How to..?

Thanks Graham, I have the Glow Green and the Yellow Box set with the solid color and boarder as required. BUT the glow green doesn't stay after the Yellow box is placed over it and it cannot be added afterwards. It does show outside the yellow box though. This must be an issue unique to my computer! • Highlighting - How to..?

I have a Visual Markup style from Libronix/Logos 3 which originally displayed in Logos 4. After editing it, to change the incipid colour the new version used in place of the original, it never looked the same again. [ Is L4 equal to 3? ] How do I recreate this style in Logos 4? Sample from Psalm 7:1, (ESV).

  • Re: Logos4's 'Note File' functionality is missing significant Logos3 functionality

It seems Logos is trying to be too clever with the new software. They've forgotten the basics or made them more complex. No more 'click' to follow a Bible reference link, now it is 'ctrl' + 'click'. Shifting a note file position now takes three times as long to scroll laboriously to the desired position etc. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I do like the scripture references

Thanks Mark, I'm still on L3 at the moment but looking forward to Logos4! Do you use the 'History' info? What for?

  • What would you use your History data for?

Your Internet browser records your useage history, most frequently visited sites, today, yesterday, past week, past month etc. If Logos recorded your Bible study data, what would you use it for? 1) Would you look up all the verses you applied a markup style to over the past week? So you could take something along to your study group? You caould share

I'm in the 'Set the default to OFF' camp. Some do like it. Maybe the option of personalizing the sound file might entice me to have a play. Most likely to be short lived though!

  • Suggestion

A simplified software for children and new users would be good. It would get children into the habit of using Bible software and it would be suitable to share with friends before purchasing their own sftware packages.

  • Re: Saving search results

This is an important function for you to be following it up these months later. 1) In Libronix/Logos 3 from the 'Search Results' window select from 'Other Tools' on the right hand side "Export Results to Verse List" 2) This opens a window "Verse list: VerseList1" The verse list file has been created and automatically called 'VerseList1'. 3) Go to 'Properties
