[quote user="Dave Hooton"] Fred The logs are dated after the crash and not useful! You should upload logs after the crash and before you restart L4. Similar crashes occurred in 4.0b and were fixed by 4.0b SR-1 but one was not fixed! Please reproduce the crash and upload the logs as described in case it is a different crash. • 4.0c Beta 1 Crash

For the first time since downloading 4.0c Beta 1 I am getting a crash when I try to open the collections pane from the tools menu. I reproduced several times and it did not matter if I had other panes or resources open or not. Attached are log files. 6545.Logos4.log 4885.Logos4Crash.txt 33614.Logos4Indexer.log

To all who contributed to this thread, thank you. Though I was not the one who asked the original question I learned from it being asked and then all you syntax guys going to work on it. Steve I saved your PDF file to have at my finger tip as I continue learning.

  • Re: Syntax

I took a stab at it just because I am trying to learn as much about syntax searches as I can. I could not get a search to return a result that included your passage. It actually runs from verse 7 into verse 8. I think where I am messing up is emulating the verb that is used by both clauses. The benefactive in verse 8 is also used by both clauses. I

Ralph, I had a similar experience with Beckie a couple of months ago. I sent BobP an email about her. I completely agree with your comments about her and every other Logos employee I have had to deal with.

[quote user="Tim Hensler"] When using the Exegetical Guide ( 1 Samuel 16:1 in NASB95 OT RI for example), any long morphology string in the Word by Word section is truncated at the right border of the panel instead of wrapped within the panel. Morphology should be wrapped so user can access each element of the string. Same affect with NASB95 NT RI and

  • Re: Looking for Collection feedback

Ken, As Todd said, depending on your goal, a better solution may be to place your commentaries in collections based on type. I got the idea from another user on the forum (it may have been Mark Barnes; If it's not Mark sorry, no disrespect to the person who came up with the idea) to create a commentary collection for Academic Commentaries, Intermediate

  • Re: Downloading 185.6Mb?

I thought that at first; but when that update downloaded to my other machine running 4.0b last night it was 275Mb. If that is what it is I guess maybe there was something that was already updated when I loaded 4.0c Beta 1 that did not require an update. Oh well I'll wait for this one to complete and then see what's different.

  • Re: Impossible Search idea?

[quote user="Rosie Perera"] The better way to do this is to search for (include the angle brackets) because that will match tagged Bible references in the text. There's a non-zero chance that "Rom." could be an abbreviation of something else than the Bible book Romans. Perhaps not very likely in this particular case, but with some of the other Bible

  • Re: Impossible Search idea?

Depending on what resources you have in your library, you could do something like is shown in this screen shot. I simply searched for "rom." in "The Great Doctrines of the Bible". This returns a listing of every place Romans is referenced with an associated doctrine discussed in the book. It would work wit any resource or collection in you library.
