• Re: Suggestion: Add Explore and Cited By to Passage Guide

As a work around have you considered creating a layout that includes a custom passage guide that searches resource information not incorporated in the explorer tool. You could also have the "cited by tool" linked to your custom passage guide and explorer tool.

I created a collection named "illustrations" which includes 10,000 sermon illustrations and then included that collection as an item in my custom passage guide. This seems to be a decent (but not perfect) work around until illustrations are incorporated in L4 as they were in L3.

  • Question regarding serendipitous discovery

I think I know the answer to this question; but decided to ask anyway. Is there a way to control the range of resource types the "facilitate serendipitous discovery" tool searches or selects from. For example can it be set for just bibles, or just commentaries, etc?
I tried doing that for just the highlighting but that did not work. Now, what I did not try until today was shutting down Logos and restarting. That worked. Still, the program should accept the changes and utilize those changes going forward without the user having to shut down and reopen the program. :-)
I am not

I guess I'll jump in on this and make a comment similar to the one I made on another thread regarding the subject being discussed here. I have been a Logos user for a number of years. My first Logos program was Lesson Builder. I think Logos has a done a great job with all of their products and while none of them has done everything I wanted them to

  • Re: Two questions

You can add or modify prayer lists from the file tab. As far as I know this feature is only available in the 4.0b Beta and RC 1 releases. If you are running 4.0a it is not available.
I tried switching layouts and got no crash but the process took about 6 full minutes. While it is never zippy to do this I'd guess this is 3-4 times longer than I experience in the SR-3 release of 4.0a. There are some very good videos on the Wiki and on the Logos site that will show you each step in setting up a layout. It is very simple; bascially just a drag and drop feature. I can't really explain it, but you will find the videos very quick and easy to learn. What you may want to play with is the linking of resources (this is explained in the videos
