• Can I limit, choose, or otherwise restrict which books are downloaded?

I'm using a MacBook Air, which has limited disk memory. Is there a way to flag some books or series to be NOT downloaded all the time? I have a large Logos library, but I don't need most of the books most of the time. Can I make Logos 4 for Mac behave more like the mobile app and keep only some books on the local hard drive, and the others Internet

  • Visual Filter Copy & Paste text to Word

Friends- I use a visual filter to color-code various verbs in Hebrew/Greek, but then I want to copy the colored text into Word so I can delimit clauses on seperate lines, make notes, and other editing. (Ideally, I'd do all this with an interlinear or parallel passage table since I'm not quite a sight-reader of ancient languages. but I'd take just Greek

  • Interesting Words improvements

I believe the "interesting Words" tool in the passage guide is one of the most elegant and useful exegetical tools for getting a sense of core themes of a passage. However, it could be so much more useful! First, is there a settings tool somewhere to display the words in a traditional horizontal-only format? I find the Logos4 version is a little too

  • Re: Can I either Create a Series or Prioritize a Collection?
your prioritisations don't affect searches.
What, really? Priority doesn't affect searches? Just particular types of content like Bibles and Commentaries? I guess I was assuming that once the Passage Guide (or whatever tool) finished listing the official Bibles, Commentaries, etc., that it would at least put my other

  • Re: Can I either Create a Series or Prioritize a Collection?

Simply because I like to include historical context in my preaching. So, for example, if I'm preaching on Jesus calming the storm, I want to know BAR has published photos of the type of boat Jesus and his disciples would have been using. Usually if a story in BAR has direct connection to biblical passage, the passage citation is listed in the article

OK, I edited the wiki, but that's largely unsatisfying. If prioritization is such a major feature for customization and productivity, it has a terribly restricted toolset.

  • Can I either Create a Series or Prioritize a Collection?

I have several groups of library resources that are not pre-categorized into a Series (though they should be). Examples include issues of BAR and Christian History magazines. I want to prioritize them as a group. So, can I edit their metadata and enter them into a new Series I create? Alternatively, I have already put them in a Collection, but can I

  • Re: logos iPhone App 1.2.2 crashes on startup

Uninstalling and Reinstalling did the trick. It seems to be working quite well now.

Dave- This has been consistent behavior for a good week or so, and I've synced many times, but there's no crash log referring to Logos. I ran the app today several times and then sync'd but there's no crash log dated today. The last one was on 1/8/2010 for a mobilemusic app.. Could there be something causing shutdown without a full-on crash? Meanwhile

I'm having this issue too, on my iTouch. I'm using 1.2.2 on my 8G iTouch, with about 1G of free memory. When I load the app, it closes itself after about 15 seconds. I can poke around inside the app, loading news, searching for a passage, looking at the About page for example, but then it still closes. If I just open the app and do nothing, it closes

  • Re: Interesting Words in Exegetical Guide

I actually find this to be a hugely helpful tool, especially for a pericope in the original language. Almost invariably, the tool does an accurate job of highlighting the theme of the passage and yielding insights into what the original writer was trying to emphasize. It makes fairly simple sense--the key topic or figures are likely to be mentioned

  • Re: Blogs on home page

Well folks, for no discernable reason all the Logos content is back. The Blogs, prepubs, news, messages, have all returned both to my home page and my customize bar. All I did was restart a few times over the course of a day or two. I hadn't changed any settings either before or after. So I still don't know if it was a glitch on my end or Logos' end

I've got the same issue--all the Direct-from-Logos content disappeared from L4. Under Customize, my "Content" box no longer include check boxes for Blogs, PrePubs, News, Etc. I have only Excerpts and Devotionals listed as Content options. Something broken with the Logos feeds, or is it me?

  • Re: Printable Upgrade Chart?

Thanks Bob! So here's my unsolicited feature requests for an upgrade chart: 1) to select and compare only selected versions. This would hide versions in which I'm not interested, and hide books that are in only the hidden versions. 2) to mark books that aren't in my current version but I've purchased a la carte, so I can see more clearly only the books

  • Printable Upgrade Chart?

Friends- I'd like to annotate the upgrade chart at http://www.logos.com/upgrade so I can more accurately see the cost for resources I value but don't yet have. However, when printing the webpage, the dots in the grid disappear leaving me with a blank list. So is there a printable or downloadable upgrade grid anywhere?

  • Re: Printing Highlighted text

I'd like to echo this sentiment--printing (and copying) highlights is important. This is especially true for materials that I've highlighted and annotated by hand. AND, it's also true for auto-highlights generated by things like searches. For example, I often search for finite Greek verbs to analyze the structure of a text, so it's great to have them
