• Re: Major performance problem on right-clicking
I'm taking Greek, so we have to do a lot of manual parsing. To aid in this I usually copy and paste the Greek word and its lemma into an excel doc. When I do this in v3 it is snappy, instantaneous, and there is no draw from the CPU. However when I do this in v4, my 3GHz quad-core CPU goes nuts anywhere from 20-50% usage
The NASB in print and in the Logos version is a verse by verse Bible.
Someone else asked about this for the KJV. I think people who want this would want it for several/all (not sure how that works in the Message) versions. Chris

  • Re: anyone ? Win7 compared to WinXP performence on Vmware Fusion 3 ?
Chris, this isn't really a Mac Beta question, tho. Shane, I think you'll see performance at least as good with Windows 7 as XP, and likely a bit better. I'm just getting started with Logos 4 on Win 7 under Parallels, so I'll let you know as I tune it. The heat is undoubtedly from Windows running. Are you running anything

Trey, I think you are probably right. I figured my suggestion would not give you what you wanted, but thought it was worth a try. I've messed around with it and can't find a way around the problem. Chris
I just received the Logos 4 Platinum dvd and installed it. After the installation it asked for a serial number, but one was not included on my dvd. I also could not find any resources on the dvd. Thanks.
I'm not sure, but if you hold the Crtl key down while you click on the Logos program and hold it down until you

  • Re: L4 Linking Windows?
IN L3 it was possible to link windows using A, B etc which was a very useful feature. Is this possible in L4?
Yes, it is. In the top left corner of a pane you'll see an icon. Click on it and you get several options including setting links. Screen shot below Chris

  • Re: New books in L4 to L3?

Valerie, Here's what Bradley said in a different post: We're still working on producing all the Platinum resources in the LBXLLS format that LDLS3 can use. When this is done, they will be uploaded to the FTP server and made available through a Resource Update Script for LDLS3. Chris

  • Re: Setting a default style (MLA or APA) for Clippings?
I have MLA set as my default style in Program Settings, but when I use Clippings, they are set to APA and I have to change each one manually. Does this not use the default setting?
I concur. I see the same behavior and would like it to use my default - that's why I set a default. Chris

  • Re: Prioritizing Some Series

Kevin, You seem to be right. Probably a metatag issue. When we get the ability to do that, it will probably be possible to make new series. On the other hand, maybe King Bradley (Bob is Emperor) will get this in an update. I see no way to prioritize collections. I think prioritizing is limited to individual resources and series. Chris
I bought the Scholars edition of Logos 4 (I have the equivalent in L3). I have it installed with all the books and am finding I'm not happy with the limitations of the new search engine especially with the loss of the original topic searching and browsing. You said that there is a way to just upgrade for free and use the original
I think this was to combat piracy.
During beta testing, Bob said so quite eloquently, forcefully and, unfortunately, realistically. Such a shame that piracy has happened with Bible software! But, sin is a reality isn't it! Chris

Trey Try removing the %UseBIbleParagraphs It adds the paragraphing from the Bible text (redundant) - but you may lose the paragraphing in verse 8 See what happens. Chris
