Yes, I tried that. I removed the book and then downloaded again. Same thing - it cannot be used

  • Re: Are their known problems with some books on Ipad?

It was vol 1 of 'An exposition on the epistle of Hebrews' by John Owen. I had to delete it on my Ipad because it stopped the app from working. I had put it in a splitscreen with a bible - and if I was not very careful it would suddenly show up again. BUT the problem has not been only with this book. During the last month there have been others that

Owen was in the Master Collection 2010 and the journals are in the Theological Journals bundle. Yes, I do have a base package also. (Portfolio)

  • Are their known problems with some books on Ipad?

I have problems with some of my books on Ipad. With most of my books it works all right. But some books are incredibly slow. It may take up to 1 minute to turn a page (sometimes even longer) - and sometimes the app just crashes and then it takes several minutes to open the app again. I have downloaded about 50 books. Some books that made the app crash

  • Re: Books on Atheism

The other day I discovered as I was checking on the Vyrso book: "Whatever happened to truth" (Köstenberger, Mohler, Moreland and Vanhoozer) that all the content of this book was already available in the journal ETS no 48 - 1 So if you have a really large library and the journals it is always a good idea to check. You might already have it your library

Thank you, Mark - this is VERY helpful information! (and George, the illustration was from Neusner's edit. - but the folio numbers are very small and lined in - like Mark showed. They are there - just small)

  • Re: Talmud quote - need help from expert!

Thank you George. Your answer helped me find the solution - because it had to be there somewhere! So the references are to the folios - which are mentioned in the beginning of each tractate. As you scroll through the tractate, the searchfield will display the actual folio. (And the mention of the folio will be in the text with very small letters) -

  • Re: Talmud quote - need help from expert!

Thanks Erik for the Internet links. I appreciate them. However, I was not using the Rodkinson - I know it's incomplete (I was just stating that I have both translations available). It's missing from the Neusner translation. So I guess my question is: Is the Neusner translation also incomplete - or is there another way of referencing the Talmud than

  • Talmud quote - need help from expert!

In Intro. to Systematic Theology Wayne Grudem quotes The Bab. Talmud. Unfortunately the book is not tagged to the Talmud. Having both Neusner's transl., Rodkinson - and the Mishnah I wanted to read the quotes - but I can't find them. There is no Yomah 9B (Neusner stops at 8) - and there is no Sota 48b - so another way of referencing is obviously being

My version of Logos is 4.3 SR-7 (4.30.0.1621) Here is a picture where i compare my newly updated logos 4 to my older libronix (here I'm quite satisfied with the text) I might seem to be a little "picky" but when reading through longer text it's very annoying if the letters are not sharp and clear. Again it's something new - before the update I found

  • Very unclear text after update

I haven't used Logos 4 for a while, but as I opened the program today it updated for a long time. After the update I discovered that the text in all books is very unclear - also if I resize them. This was a big problem about a year ago - but it did get better. Now it seems to be worse than ever: the letters are very unsharp and 'muddy'. Am I the only

Thanks for the links. I'm aware of the situation. It might change sooner than you would like to think. 35-40% on top on let's say 'Anchor Yale Bible' might put it almost out of reach. So the advice to myself and other EU-citizens must be not to dream too many years about larger purchases before going into action. (It is a small comfort though that it

Rosie, I have a question about the Kindle price - is it exactly $9.99? - when I look up the book on my computer the price is $13.79 (almost 40% more) - but this may be due to the fact that I'm situated in Europe which means that they will show me another price - incl. all kinds of taxes .... One of the great things about LOGOS resources is that you
