  • Missing Greek Characters in Tables of Content

Tables of content are missing certain polytonic Greek characters, including breathing marks and circumflex accents. The Logos app seems to display different fonts for reading (SBL Greek) and menus (a different one, maybe an Android default?). For example, check out words beginning with alpha in the table of contents of Dictionary of Biblical Languages

  • Re: Jump to Reference Problem

Advanced prioritization works for me on the PC application but not on the Android app. For example, I prioritize the NET Bible in the NET notes and the SBLGNT in Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics. These priorities function as expected on Windows, but the Android app skips advanced priorities and jumps to my top English translation. As an aside, I prioritize

  • Re: Beta 6: Nice column options---can one column be added as an option?

The text and the highlights share the same preset margins, so marginal highlights expand the white space and squeeze the text. The automatic columns do not correct for this; so with highlights, the text becomes becomes skinnier when the columns are at either their widest or narrowest on the automatic setting (cf. screenshots 1-4). They get quite narrow

Auto generally works for me, but I definitely appreciate these new options. The only problem that I see is that highlighting in the margins squeezes the column width (e.g., the "Left Margin Bar Red" highlighter under Emphasis Markup). This messes up the automatic-columns setting. I wonder if this could be corrected. The margins could be made to compensate

  • Re: Grant Horner's Meaning at the Movies: Becoming a Discerning Viewer

I will definitely look into those books; good thing Logos collections are generally out of my price range, nor do I have much time for reading them. That last book fits my budget very well, indeed.

  • Grant Horner's Meaning at the Movies: Becoming a Discerning Viewer

Meaning at the Movies is a unique book, which would be fantastic on Logos. Horner gave an hour long lecture related to the content of his book at the 2010 Truth and Life Conference, at the Master's College. He was also interviewed here . The book may emphasize movies, but Horner presents a broader theory for understanding culture from a biblical perspective

  • Re: Think Biblically by MacArthur et al

I would have purchased this on Logos tonight if it had been available. I'd still like to see it someday; although, this thread is quite dusty.

It would be great to have James White's books available in Logos.

  • Re: Piper's Think & For the Fame of God's Name

I was just browsing the Logos store for John Piper's "Think." I hope it gets published for Logos. Good recommendations. I generally prefer individual books rather than the massive collections that Logos has been known for.

  • Re: Grant Horner's Reading Plan in Logos

It does not take long to see the value in this reading plan. Thanks for sharing it, Thomas. I realize this is an old post, but I have an alternate solution for anyone who desires to use Horner's system and who is willing to give up their bookmarks. That sounds negative, how about: "Anyone who is willing to employ their bookmarks to their fullest potential
