What is your program setting for line spacing?

Great find! I think this is a bug in our resource display engine. What you are seeing is a relatively advanced typographic feature called "automatic hanging punctuation" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanging_punctuation). As you pointed out so clearly, when combined with a list item, the result is quite unsightly. We will create a case and get a fix
This is not working for me. Would you like logs? (I may have to post later tonight).
Steps and screenshots would probably suffice. What are you typing that doesn't work? (it could be that the detector is failing to pick it up)

Use my own words against me?! I developed the core, cross-platform aspect of the new editor which fully supports reference detection. I will get a Mac client desktop dev to come answer your question specifically.
I don't mean to be critical but why exactly did you switch to this new editor? It doesn't provide any new functionality that I have detected and it is buggy. Will it allow you to bring additional functionality in the future? Was it to resolve a licensing issue? It isn't any faster so performance isn't the reason. Does it increase

This has the appearance of the old notes editor.

The heuristic used to determine which footnotes are applicable to put in the on-page footnote currently is: superscript popup link to content in the same book not marked as a cross reference not marked as an abbreviation not already referenced in the on-page footnotes (prevent duplicates) Interestingly enough, if the link in question meets #2-5 but

Stephen: Sorry you're still having this issue. Maybe a long shot, but is it possible that you don't have the standard fonts included with Windows installed on your machine (specifically Cambria/Georgia/Times New Roman)?
I have one copy of Office 2010 under my name. However, my wife uses my computer. It is not against the law to have more than one user in one computer at home. I am not saying that I will have more than one computer for different people using L5. It is one computer with L4 or L5 under my name in which my wife can use it also

Please note the screen grab illustrating the large portion of text covered by a black "bar" across the top of the paragraph. There is text beneath it, but it can't be viewed. Thanks
Thanks for the report! We will publish a corrected version soon.
Oops, Jannie beat me to it.

I have been able to reproduce this issue. I will create a case to investigate. As pointed out, the bug only occurs in scrolling view (i.e. Columns="None").

The specific development going on right now is mostly on the desktop side of things. But, I wouldn't be surprised if the mobile teams may want to take advantage of the new editor at some point.
-
To my knowledge, auto-detection is the missing feature on mac. Not bible links in general. Right? Assuming that is what you're asking about, it is a feature of the editor (i.e. the UI control you type into) and not notes or sync. It should have no bearing on sync or display of notes on mobile. We are in the process of creating a new cross-platform editor
Any idea if it's possible to add fields like that into personal books?
Not yet, Joshua. Keyword: "yet". I'm pretty sure I've heard that feature mentioned, but it will take a considerable amount of planning and work and I'm not willing to go on the record promising anything (or any time frame).

Yes. An upgraded version of Mono.
Then Lynden, what about this? http://community.logos.com/forums/p/58026/414094.aspx#414094 That's why I keep saying, if you don't have a little blue cross under your picture, your hearsay doesn't matter. (Nothing personal.)
In the same thread, this post was clarified. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/58026/414274.aspx#414274
I think - but am not sure - that Alan was responding to the post from Janice Graham
Yes, sorry for the confusion. I typed it too quick and should have hit the quote button.

Developers are actively watching the forums and are eager to tackle issues like these that our customers are having. I couldn't find any other posts from you regarding these issues. I would suggest starting a new thread for issues as you find them with as many details and/or logs as possible.

Your current mobile apps will work with both Logos 4 and/or Logos 5.
