Thanks. Seems to be working now. Appreciate it.

  • Re: Resource problem?

Thanks. Much appreciated. I just tried the Web App on Safari (12.0.2) on MacOS 10.14 and the problem occurred there too. The resource was the ZECNT Acts commentary by Schnabel. Some resources seem to work okay. But I also get the error with UBS4 w/Swanson greek NT on the MAC. Dennis

  • Re: Resource problem?

This is all new to me, and I've used the Web App on my Chromebook for a long time. I have it on several resources now. Hitting retry fixes it once in a while, but only temporarily. Then the problem comes back and won't go away. Does anyone know if something is wrong on the Chrome side or the Web App side? Thanks for the help.

  • Re: Resource problem?

So, now many other resources have the same problem. Did something change that is affecting how the text is displayed?

  • Resource problem?

I am trying to open Schnabel's commentary on Acts in the Web App, running on the latest Chrome OS. But when I try to scroll, the screen goes blank. Looks like this: Anyone else notice this problem. It has not happened before, and my other resources seem to be working okay.

Save the layout; morph searching; display discourse features, propositional outlines in original languages; send searches to passage lists. That would be a good start.
Which features in particular would close the most gap for you?
Please add me to the list of those clamoring for Hebrew support. Touchscreen support too. This could be the best tool for analyzing text. Making visual connections like this is very important to me.

Thanks. I appreciate the quick response. Hopefully I won't have to continue holding my breath for long.

  • Hebrew text in Canvas

I appreciate the work done on the Web app and the visual connection between Logos 8 and the Web app. I see the potential for the future and am excited. I do have a question when Hebrew texts will be available for inserting on a canvas. Any idea when that might happen. I see Hebrew is not available on the Web app canvas. Even in full Logos 8, Hebrew

  • Morph searches in Web App

I know I can do lemma searches in the Web App, such as this one for BHW 4.18 resource: <Lemma = lls/he/נוח:1> Those work fine. But is there a way to add morph tags? Such as find all the niphil uses of that verb? I have tried manually adding tags after adding @, but nothing seems to work. Thanks for the help

  • Re: Faithlife essentials at $200???

I don't own L7. Without a Windows or Mac machine, I can't use the software. Logos Now was my only way to a full-featured Web App access. I am only a subscriber, not an owner. I have tried the Web App without a subscription, and that is very weak. I need the original language features and that is only in the 200+ subscription. Can't do that now.

  • Re: Faithlife Essentials at $200??

For several months I used the Web App without a LN subscription and it was not nearly as functional. See the list of features in the Faithlife link I included above. Many original language features are only in the more expensive FL plan. I guess I will soon find out what it is like without a subscription.

  • Re: Faithlife Essentials at $200??

I have chosen to use a Chromebook as my only computer -- and my computer experience goes back to the days of IBM clones, DOS, etc. I am a very experienced computer user who abandoned the Windows/Mac world for a simpler, (nearly) thin-client ChromeOS environment. I can do anything on the Chromebook I could do before: edit video, documents, photos etc

The stuff in the right column of this chart. The things I now get with a Logos Now subscription but will have to pay 2X to keep. https://connect.faithlife.com/now-connect-compare

  • Faithlife Essentials at $200??

So to keep the Web app features I want, I will have to move from Logos Now at $99 a year to Faithlife Essentials at $200. Say again? Really? To say I am disappointed in Logos is an understatement.

  • Re: WIll the Logos Web App become a PWA?

Thanks, aaylnx, for bringing this question back to life. I use the Web app on a Chromebook and appreciate the increased functionality and look forward to more features coming. I also use Android apps on a couple of the chromebooks I own. When I use them in tablet mode, I generally go with the mobile app on those machines. It works well for general reading

  • Re: More small updates

Thanks for all this work. The Web App is becoming useful. Thanks! I am hoping that sometime soon we will be able to save the layout and work space so I can more easily come back to where I left off. Dennis

  • Re: Logos Now vs Logos Cloud

Yes! Exactly. I am enjoying ChromeOS on my Chromebooks much more than I ever enjoyed Windows. So I am still waiting for an answer to that very question. Thanks for asking it.

  • Re: The sham that is biblia.com

Just curious, why would this be a bad thing? In the long view, I think thin client will become normal.
I hope biblia.com, bible.faithlife.com and any other such future sites are not seen as a replacement for desktop software. Nice to have an online alternative but a completely cloud based solution with no desktop
